if you have a kid who is into the disney characters more than rides, the cruise much better than the park. You're competing with a lot fewer people for pics/ autographs and such. They put out a schedule telling you when and where each character will be. The cater to the kids at meal times, learning their names and addressing them by name.

Disney also has characters at some of their shore excursions, kids love that.

They also have a really good "daycare" area. Our son loved it. He got to play with other kids and characters and such. He'd ask to go and it gave us free time to go out on our own.

Still, will probably not do it again.

Best cruise i've been on

I've been on Carnival and seen the fricking whales and animals they attract trolling the buffets like shark week.

Disney mostly pulls in thoroughbreds. Just like the parks, you might have to deal with lines and heat. But that Disney money prices a lot of the deplorables out.

I've been on 2 Disney cruises and planning on a third. You can't beat the service and quality.

I've got a thing for redheads and seafood. How much do they charge for the "after hours Ariel adventure"?

Good to know. I will do my research to make sure I can have a stogie, then book a trip.

Never been on a cruise. Can you smoke on the balcony?

Based on the trash I saw cruising out of New Orleans, they will regret this decision.

Yep. Can't believe they are doing this. Won't last long once their ship is torn up.

The price is really high. However, there is something to be said for seeing Mickey or Minnie or another character, and only having 3 or 4 people in line ahead of you. Oh, and indoors on the boat, not in the outside of Florida.
