This reads like it belongs on the O-T more than the travel board

quote:

Emily Jackson, 22, was all set to embark on a family vacation with her husband, two kids, parents and siblings and was waiting for her room keys aboard the boat in Miami on Thursday, when Disney staff approached her, KMOV reported. They told Jackson she couldn’t be on the boat because she was 25 weeks pregnant — one week past the House of Mouse’s policy, she said.

22 years old, married, 2 kids, 3rd kid on the way.

Can't follow rules.

Most people in that life situation could not afford a Disney Cruise

Does it really belong anywhere?

That's weird. I know airlines have policies about pregnant women flying after so many weeks. Curious as to why this is a policy on a cruise ship.

Maybe she's a Duggar...

Side note, at least she's married to I assume the same dad of those kids...

I agree. She should follown the rules and not cry when they get enforced.

The only thing on the water trashier than a cruise ship is a floating casino

Because cruise ships are nasty and have lots of germs, plus you are out for days, not hours

I doubt a cruise ship has the facilities and staff needed for a successful birth and recovery.

Maybe her parents were paying for the trip.

I bet she's not even pregnant. Probably had one of these strapped to her so she could sneak alcohol on board.

I make my wife wear one all 6 times a year we go on Carnival cruises. Works like a charm, but you gotta play it cool.

Because the ship will be at sea for at least a few days and they aren't exactly outfitted to keep a premature infant alive. This isn't really that hard to understand. All the bs about armed guards like Disney is packing some kind of militia unit is absurd. Stupid article and stupid headline. The Miami-Dade police department patrols the port.

Tough shite. All cruise lines have this sort of policy. Should have read the rules. She is mad that the port guards had scary guns.

Disney refunded the cruise. It’s not like they couldn’t still have a vacation

It’s their fault that they either didn’t read the policy or ignored it. It’s a smart policy in Disney’s part, no matter how inconvenient it is for people who can’t follow it.

I fee like any normal person could have said at check in:

“Oh did I put 25 weeks pregnant? I’m so dumb I meant 23 weeks. Here’s $100 for your trouble. K bye.”

Then again a normal person wouldn’t go on a cruise 25 weeks pregnant with two children under 2.

These cruises must be awful. If I was going on a cruise, why go on some giant ship loaded with people? A small, luxury cruise line would be the way to go, or maybe a river cruise.
