I always stop at the Pilot in Laplace on my way back from New Orleans. The bathroom is usually in good shape. I've never seen it completely horrible. The urinals now even have a nice peppermint scent to them.

I stopped at a gas station along I-16 once . Odd place. There was an emu farm connected to it.
Anyway, on the door to the bathroom was a sign that read something along the lines
“I’m sick of cleaning up shite. The right to use this restroom is revoked.”

The newer state-owned rest stops usually have clean bathrooms if they are located in the main building. If the bathrooms are located in separate buildings, prepare for bathrooms that look straight out of Mumbai.

I had a wicked GI upset coming back from Houston and had to stop at this place to take a dump. Shitter is outside and detached from the main building. It was hands down the nastiest, grossest bathroom I’ve ever seen (and I’ve shite in a lot of places indoors and out). frickin place ought to be condemned on the bathroom alone.
You’ll straddle that toilet before you let it touch your bare arse.

A lot of the problem are you nasty arse dudes out there who don't give a frick about a gas station bathroom and piss all over the place and not care to flush. Yall motherfrickers are so nasty, flush the damn toilets. Use your foot if you got to and quit being nasty frickers.

This ain’t just in gas stations. There is an employee bathroom at work that is pretty bad. I cannot fathom what type of person could have so little self respect that they’d piss everywhere or not flush the toilet. I can understand it in a dive bar where everyone is drunk, but under normal circumstances with limited use? Cmon man!!

Worked at a fishing lure packaging plant and it had a lot of Vietnamese ladies that worked there. They would stand on toilets and squat down. Sometimes they would get it all in there

From my time on the road I'd piss at any bathroom, but for taking a shite it was either at a nice truckstop or at a hotel lobby bathroom.

It is bad. Been to the TTS a few times (the place that did my van modifications for driving and installing the ramp was on the other side of the interstate from TTS so I would have to go there to get gas if I had to drive around to see if things were working, etc) and that place is dirty. I am not sure how a business owner isn't ashamed to have a place that is so fricking dirty.
This is probably TMI, but a friend of mine was going to baton rouge and before he passed the TTS he had to shite. He refused to go to the TTS. Instead, he went a few miles so that he could park his truck on side the interstate and ran into the wooded area and went shite that.
He decided to go commando the rest of the day since he had to use his underwear to clean himself instead of going to TTS...

If you can’t find a Bucee’s the best places to stop for a bathroom are hotels. Most lock their doors after 10PM but all you have to do is go in and ask if they have any vacancies and what the rates are and ask to use the restroom while you ask the wife.
