I just called and got my 50 off too

She started asking me about my watching habits and interests and I thought she was gonna try to get me to lower bill by cancelling some channels but then she came back and just offered the 50 bucks.

I'm pretty sure that everyone who's tried has been eligible.

It works. Was on the phone for 5 minutes with a very nice lady. $50 off for 12 months and free Cinemax for 6 months.

I've only had DirecTV for like four or five months. Anyone have any idea if this will work for me?

Do they start charging you for the free movie channels after the 6 months are up?

OT is awesome. I called the number you posted. Talked to a lady for 5 minutes. My bill went from $108/month to $58/month for 12 months. No new contract.

I just got my discount. 50 bucks off, plus 5 off Cinemax and 7 off hbo. The guy and I were talking and he said, get this, on Saturday I had 16 calls in a row from Mississippi with people all wanting their discount. He was like that’s weird right?

So i'm doing this and got the $50 off, upgraded my phone plan to unlimited data for $15, which then gave me another $15 off Directv bill, and i now get HBO for free, which is about $18. so my bill is going from $139/month to about $62.

Man I got denied twice yesterday by foreigners. I’ve only had directv for 1.5 years though so thought that’s maybe why. I’m going to try that direct line now that everyone seems to have been having luck. I’ll report back later

For those who got free premium channels, be sure to call and cancel them before the expiration. If not, you’ll get charged.

I just called and my bill is under $55 for the next 12 months. He was from Alabama, so I didn't hold that against him. Like others said, it took less than 5 mins. I didn't ask about movie channels, didn't want to get too greedy.

They gave me showtime and some extended sports package. He said it’ll just fall off so no need to call and cancel

They said that to me before, but when the promo ended, I was charged. Just my experience within the last year.

I dialed 1-800-DIRECTV, said "Yes" when they asked if I was a current customer. When it asked why I was calling, I said, "customer loyalty department". The automated system then asked me was it to change my current service or cancel. I said, "Cancel". It asked if it was because of a move, and I said, "No". I was immediately transferred to the loyalty department, and the guy I spoke to was clearly American.

I just said I heard they were offering a promotion, and I would like to see if we could lower my bill.

Just did this - 5 minutes later I just saved $50 per month! Thanks OP and OT!

This is almost like a too good to be true scam. Talk to an English speaking man and actually save money? Get outta here
