Just switched to Dish. Going to be a lot cheaper than Directv even after the 2 years, and will be an upgrade in programming from what I had with Directv.

Just called and got my DTV bill lowered from 69.99 to 29.99 per month. 50.99 per month for internet & TV. We only have one box in our home though.

I called and was told my discount is not yet available. Was told I would be receiving a phone call with some PIN number to receive the discount-lol! I’ll be calling back o speak with someone not based in India

Well, not sure how they come up with their figures but I got $22 off per mo. for 6 months. Indian gal told me to call back in January and they'd take another look to see if I could get more or they'd call me in January. Odd but that's what happened.

Almost seems like it depends on who answers the phone at DTV as to what deal or lack of deal you get !

Called the number in the OP this afternoon and was told by the message that the number was no longer good and to call 800-531-5000. Called that and inquired about the loyalty discount and she put me on hold to check what is available. Came back and told me that I could get 1/2 off the movie channels and a discount on Playboy TV for 4 months 
Going to try back a little later. Been with ATT(uverse then switched to Direct) for about 5 years now so I figure I'd be up for something, but I guess I have the "cancel services" card in my pocket if this is the best I can get.

Just called. $7 off a month for 6 months. So weak. Indian guy told me try back again in a month or so. If I don't have better luck next time I think its time to cut the cord.

Yeah, I called when this thread was floating around and talked to a couple of different ones and they said nothing like that available. I dropped my programming down and cut about $50 off my bill. Lost SEC Network and the only reason I didn't drop it further was I would've lost ESPN. As soon as the women's basketball is over or State gets eliminated I'd dumping that too.
