I’d offer good luck, but I think “break a leg!” Is more appropriate under the circumstances.

A doctor maybe? I want to go back to a day when people couldn’t sue “somebody” for being clumsy and/or not paying attention to their surroundings. We wouldn’t have ambulance chasers is not for the pieces of crap that use them.

Probably a trainer so your friend can walk without getting hurt.

The Mayor just shorted schools twenty mlllion dollars. They are putting another dime towards decades old civil judgements. Your friend would more likely die before seeing a dime.

It could be bone density issues from the transition.

I was at a wedding in nola last year. Night before at the dinner we were waiting outside loading the older couples in cars back to their hotels. There was an un painted curb in the dark that other passerbyers kept tripping on. I'm talking one lady faceplanted.

There was a truck unloading stuff next door I went ask them for a cone to place there. Not 3 mins later a couple mentions the cone and that they were glad it's there because they didn't see the curb. I said "you know latoya didn't put it out" this old man came storming up to me screaming how I'm the problem. Everyone was laughing at him. I know csb

If its the city of NOLA that is the party to go against there's nothing you can do.

You'll never get a dime from the City of New Orleans.

I don't remember the specifics, but effectively New Orleans can refuse to budget for lawsuits and just not pay them because of it, so good luck.

They put you on a list and pay you when they have the money, and they determine when they do.

Generally it takes about 10-15 years from settlement and they don't offer you the agreed upon settlement amount, they will offer roughly half, and if you refuse: back on the list. You also have to file something with the court every so often renewing the judgment or settlement

I couldn't imagine breaking both my ankles from just falling down while walking. Is your friend 90?
