I’ve been my whole life. I’ve had periods of doubt and really investigated the apologetics side of Christianity. Listened to a lot of John Lennox, Lee Strobel, and others. I’m a doctor, so learning about the intricacies of the human body and nature helped me believe that my faith was very reasonable. Basically that all of this could not have happened by blind chance.

But church has been a huge blessing in my life. I’ve been through some extreme difficulty and only found that my faith was strengthened during those time and my faith helped me get through those things.

People will call faith a crutch, but those people will need some form of crutch one day. Life has a way of humbling you.

The person of Jesus is exceedingly sweet to me. He is the highest of treasures in my life and I can’t think of my life without Him.

I commend you! It takes a lot of faith to believe everything here is just a coincidental shot in the dark.

Yup, through High School, perfect attendance for years.

Taught me discipline and stick-to-it-ness.

I associate better with the OT God: “an eye for an eye” and such.

Yes

I still go. Had some years with lots of questions that I searched through. Came out more faithful on the other side.

It's obvious that taking Christ out of schools is the reason for the current state of society. Morality does in fact have to have a source and foundation.

Yes. Regular Catholic; mass once a week if not more often.

Not so active today. Don't like the pope, don't like gay pedophile priests, but I still hate protestants.

3x per week.

Grown with kids now and I've never slowed down. Still up there although our new church is a once or twice a week thing.
Not about attendance, it's about the relationship. Also helped that my parents are totally authentic believers and lived it when they weren't at church.
I hope my kids know the peace, fulfilment and purpose I do.

Went every Sunday both church and Sunday school until 15. Realized I was atheist around 13.

3 times a week, 2x Sunday and Wednesday.

We go occasionally and remain very spiritual just not as church-minded for now. We’ve talked about going more often and consistently but it’s hard once you get out of the habit.

Used to go to church every Sunday and midnight mass on Christmas Day. I went to OLPH in Kenner and it was really weird - my experiences there turned me off from the weirdness of it all.

One day we had a guy with the stigmata come in to our school mass and we all had to line up and this guy touched our heads with his disgusting, scabbed hands and prayed over each of us.

Then we had an live-action play of the stations of the cross. Ugh.

And we also had some weird shroud that some prostitute wiped Jesus's face with that we all had to line up and kiss.

I went in religious as frick but by the end of my time there I actually fought with my parents to not get confirmed as a Catholic because I didn't believe.

I'm Atheist now.

I think that's an Irish/UK thing. Those people try to make cute nicknames out of everything.

Yes. Mass every Sunday.

I got away from it in college and my 20’s. I bought a house a block from one of the Catholic churches in town when I was 31. I couldn’t avoid church at that point and started back regularly. I now hate to miss Mass.

There were some difficult times in life that would have been much harder to overcome without the Church, and there have been some miracles and signs in my life that reinforced my faith-though I don’t need that to believe.

Mom pushed us to go to church and CCD. I rejected it for years, found it on my on, and lost it for about 20 years.

Recently have had a yearning for it and started going back. There’s a great show called “The Chosen” on right now. Nearly brought me to tears
