Did you go to church growing up?

When you were growing up, did your parents take you to church? Do you feel like it had an impact on your life or was just something you had to go to every week?

Now that you’re an adult, do you still go to church or did you leave it behind?

Stopped going after 3rd grade. I don't really get the point of Church, but to each their own.

We went most Sundays as kids. We were non denominational for the most part. We floated around to non denominational churches & Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian. We go occasionally now but probably not more than 5-6 times per year.

Never missed a Sunday as a kid and its had a huge positive impact on my life. I now only go a couple times a year now but my life's a lot busier than it was back then.

Every time the doors opened. I was recalcitrant but it's amazing how much I absorbed in spite of myself

Extended family is Catholic, my mother made me attend Catechism on weekends (which included mass) and made me go through to confirmation, even though my parents never went to church themselves which felt hypocritical and pissed me off greatly. So, naturally I just ended up an atheist anyway.

Catholic school made us go to mass every Friday morning. I didn’t get much out of it but frankly it’s not like I would’ve been anything else more productive
