I had to go to Sunday school and church regularly. As an adult, I’m not very religious and never go. I do send my kid to catholic school though.

This is a correct statement, and it's sad.

I don’t see how it leads to losing actual faith in Christ. Faith in religion, or people, yes, but faith in Christ I don’t get. If you’ve come to faith in Christ, and He has come into your life and changed your heart, you are made aware of the vast difference in between the Pharisees playing religion and true faith in Christ, and how the two are not at all the same thing.
For myself, experiencing the Pharisees of religion and experiencing God’s presence in my life only brought real meaning to what Christ was saying to the religious of His day in the gospels, and how true faith in Christ is the complete opposite of what they were teaching.
Religion is not faith in as much as the law does not make one righteous, but is a means of showing you that you need a savior and mercy and grace in your life.

Pretty much only went at school growing up as I went to Catholic school.
Went maybe once a month after getting married and having kids.
Now that we moved to MS we found a small church with great parishioners and the best priest I have ever met. Now we go almost every week and I joined the KofC.

Went to church as a young kid and usually got dropped off by my mom, who came back to pick us back up when church was over. By the time I was around 10 I said screw this and quit.
I'm now 69 and with the exception of weddings or funeral masses I've attended in church, I doubt I've been inside one 20 times for a Sunday mass.
Church is so far behind me, it's not as much a thought in my life.

Not so active today. Don't like the pope, don't like gay pedophile priests, but I still hate protestants.
A lot of Catholics do dislike protestants. Protestants so easily expose the sham of man made religion that catholicism is.

Did dread it back in the day however the older I get the more I look forward to it. Definitely feel better after mass and follow that up with an All Star from waffle house!

Yes. You should read The Trail of Blood. You know the Bible? The book Martin Luther tried to get the church to follow, and the response was nah. Yea, know about that too lol. It's OK though, I married a Catholic.
Good attempt to be smart though, I guess.

Went every Sunday. Felt like a chore.
Now I don’t go. Haven’t gone in 10ish years. None of my siblings do anymore and my dad even stopped when all of the kids moved out. He told me his job was done.
I guess none of it stuck

Oh don't get me wrong, I think all religions are a sham.
But pointing out catholicism as a manmade joke while backing protestantism (an offshoot of catholicism) if just funny to me.

Catholics at the time didn't want people to have the scriptures available so that anyone can read them. Once someone did, it was easy to expose the fallacies of the religion in comparison to the Scriptures it was based on.So, it's really not a "funny," more of a withholding information.
This isn't a debate, more of historical/biblical fact.

Yes all the time growing up.
I stopped going so much in and right out of college but have now been going regularly for years. If I don’t go, I can feel it. My busy life is much more at peace and fun if I go to church. Worshiping with the fellowship improves my mental health and I can feel God. When I’m in harmony with God, life is awesome and abundant.

Yes. Grew up in a small town Baptist church. My family literally took up the same pew every Sunday for 20 years.
I haven’t been to church in 30 years tho

Im not arguing with you
But historical Catholics being shitty doesn't mean dick about the validity of any other form of Christianity.

Every week and hated it every time. Maybe I might feel different if my parents made it seem like it was something important that had meaning behind it, but instead every Sunday was like...
"You're going to church whether you like it or not God damn it!"
It finally stopped when I told my parents as a teen that I didn't want to go to Catechism any more or do this stupid confirmation thing.
That I didn't believe any of it and the only reason I was doing any of it or going to church was because they made me.
I thought they were going to disown me, but instead they were just like "Well OK, fine then" and that was that. Never went to church again.
That was my first taste of being able to make my own decisions about my life.
