Even back in the 80s Piccadilly was mostly blue hairs. Surprised they made it this long.

We never had one where I grew up, but we did have a Morrison's. I believe Morrison's was started in Bama and I guess Piccadilly was a Louisiana thing.

Just googled and it seems Piccadilly bought out Morrison's, but there is still one Morrison's left in Mobile.

I think they are gradually shifting to institutional food service. Don’t they provide food service for some schools and hospitals? The product is edible and consistent, but the cafeteria model is very dated. I personally love it and hate to see it fade out.

My parents would bring us to the one in Bon Marche Mall when we were young. It was basically the fast-food restaurant of the day. Gave mom a break from cooking dinner. It was good back then. Haven’t been to one in 45 years. Bon Marche Mall was fun times in its heyday. Times have changed gents.

The Piccadilly at Westmoreland shopping center on Government was the greatest thing ever to a kid like me.

The big COLOR TV in the corner and a lady who played the organ to keep the crowd entertained. A kids’ “satellite meal” dish was like $ 1.25

And don’t forget the cool conveyor belt that carried your trays down to some unseen destination (the kitchen)

Hear me out…. Piccadilly is hospital food. shite doesn’t sell well anymore since their customer base is mostly dead now

My wife (no pics) still likes to go there for nostalgia sake (and she legit likes the hamburger steak). Every time we go, we are usually the youngest adults there that are not there with senior citizens

Piccadilly’s current product blows. I’ve eaten airplane food that’s better.

I was a timekeeper for Weise and then Jacobs doing turnarounds at Exxon Chemical and that was the spot to go to for the overtime meals. Fried Chicken was excellent along with the meatloaf.
