I didn't realize school busses have AC now until awhile back when my nephew mentioned something about how it was cold outside and the bus driver had the AC on.

No wonder these kids are a bunch of pussies.

I didn't have AC in school until I was in HS.. And this was late 80s/early 90s.

Hell, I never attended a school with a/c until the ninth grade, 1966.

Our cars didn't have a/c unless we paid extra for that package.

No A/C and some drivers would not let us put the windows down either.

No a/c. The driver had one of those little fancy clip on fans. AND she had a seatbelt.
We would bounce when a bump was coming up to see how high the bump made us go.

No and they shouldn’t have.

Building character at the youngest possible age.

Today they have AC and instead of a school bus number, they have an animal with a color (at least where I live, not sure its like this everywhere).

But the kids ride... red rabbit.. Or green squirrel. They changed it because evidently its easier for pre school kids to remember or some shite.

We used to put all the windows up when we started trying to build up speed to make it up the bridge. Damn thing would be down to like 15mph when we finally made it to the top. We were convinced one day we wouldn't make it, but we always did.

I was one of the last kids on the bus and got to put up all the windows. Thinking back the bus driver was making me work for free.

No A/C, no seatbelts. Hell my first bus the wheel fell off one morning. Just peeled over and fell off. Thankfully we weren’t going but about 5 mph. It caught fire in the bus line one morning. The damn bus driver was the first one off the damn bus and was yelling at us not to open the emergency exit on the rear while smoke poured out of the engine.

It was a comedic year. I got written up by the same bus driver one day on the way to school. Funny thing was I wasn’t on the bus that morning. I got called to the office and they handed me the detention slip. My mom had brought me to school that morning because i had to go to the doctor. Had to get her to come to school to stop the nonsense with the assistant principal.

Mr. Pelican in Iowa had AC on his bus. Proud guy. Just recently found out that an older cousin - like 20 years older - rode his bus, too.

There was a bust driver who dropped off kids in the Cleary Ave/Pasadena st area (Metairie) that had bus full of 6x9s a s subwoofers. I'm not sure what school it was.

The school bus did not, but my high school would charter buses for the football team on long road trips to Monroe and such. Those busses had AC AND a toilet. First class living for us

Some of those windows were stuck in same position so long they were nearly impossible to move. Especially for a 2nd grader.
