Joe Rogan experience
Was watching Joe Rogan today and heard something interesting, Donald rumsfield the day before 9 11 gave a speech saying 2 trillion dollars from the defense department was missing, the very next day a plane crashed into pentagon destroying all their financial records. Anyone else never heard of this?

I don’t know but did you hear about that grade school class who had their lunches stolen on a field trip? Who would steal 30 bagged lunches?

Was it $2.3 trillion in cash transactions out of the bank? Or was it entries on the books with no documentation or support.

Those are two very different things. Especially in the accounting world.

Not sure why you're getting down voted. I'm not sure exactly when the money went missing, but rumsfield announced it on TV on 9/10. Not sure about records being destroyed but nothing ever came of it

There's no way to really know about military money whereabouts as they do NOT undergo audits.

Money gets allocated and then it goes to parts unknown. We can tell by additions of multi million dollar hardware appearing that a bunch actually is being spent on equipment but no one can even hazard a guess as to misappropriation, abuse of expense accounts, outright theft, and fraud.

Even Congress and the POTUS cannot get inside Ft Knox to lay eyes on the actual amount of gold, if any, is located inside.

Certainly that is not what Rumsfeld said in that clip (and it would be interesting to hear the FULL clip). Your topic makes it sound like the money just disappeared quickly (right before 9/11). He said they could not track $2.3T in transactions. By whom, to whom? Over what period of time? My guess is this would be a statement primarily about the Clinton Administration as in Sept 2001, Bush had been in office just over 7 months. It would be impossible for the DoD to lose that much money in 7 months as the ENTIRE revenue for the Federal Budget in 2001 was just under $2 Trillion. The fiscal year for that budget, submitted by Clinton, ended in.... dun dun dun. Sept 2001. So they may have been getting some preliminary numbers around this time.

I imagine Rummy was talking about transactions under the Clinton Admin. If so, why would that be tied to 9/11? Why would Bush want to erase questions about the Clinton admin? It is typical for an incoming admin to put some effort in telling the American people how much the previous admin, of a differing political party, screwed up.

As much as I like Joe, he can just talk out of his arse with only a fraction of knowledge he'd need to speak authoritatively.
