There are bars like this in every major city. Hell, when I was in high school and the drinking age was 18,

In my part of the state, Italians owned the liquor stores and mini marts, they'd sell to you if you looked like you were in HS.

At a slightly inflated price, of course. Bars didn't ID, HS kids were in the clubs every night.

At one point, the Louisiana Supreme Court threw it out and the law had to be re-written and passed. I think that was in 1996 but I could be slightly off.

Yea I/m pretty sure that was in summer of 96. We could drink at 18 legally again for a few days.

I was born in 1978. From the time I 14 years old we never had a problem getting alcohol. There was always some foreign run Kwik E Mart we would find that would sell to us. As we got older we got fake ID's or some friend of friend knew the doorman or was friendly with the bartenders..etc..

That would sort of balance out the election of Obama, a black nationalist....

Looks like sht face Washington came up with the 15K and bonded out. Sure would be interesting to find out who bonded this POS out.

Kaivon Deondre Washington, 18, who was given a $150,000 bond, bonded out of jail on Thursday, Jan. 26, jail records show.

The loophole was closed in 1995 but the law went into effect in 1996. There was a short stint in there where they went back to 18 and then went back to 21 like three months later.

It was all about the Feds withholding highway funding.

You can’t by a beer at ages 18-20 yet you are put in a dangerous position of being responsible for a million dollar aircraft WITH the ability to kill people….

Please tell me about this double standard.

Short answer is No. When you are the offender intoxication is not a defense because you chose to consume. A drunk driver can't say it's not my fault I ran someone over because they chose to drink in the first place.

It’s not a stupid arse question at all….
So basically you're critiquing the “level” Of intoxication each person involved in this was…. Without any proof whatsoever.(outside the victim)

Gotcha

And furthermore has anyone seen this “video” does it really exist?

Apparently he is because every time he dares to mention that it’s a bad idea for a 19 year girl to be near blackout drunk at a bar it gets downvoted like 17-1.

Of course she made bad decisions. Everyone agrees with that. But we are over 150 pages in. It's not relevant at this point.

People are downvoting because he's repeating shite over and over that has nothing to do with where we are today.

If we use that logic then no one with a BAC that high should be convicted of DWI. The system can’t have it both ways.

I always have long viewed being wasted drunk as a temporary insanity. I say this as someone who gave up alcohol long after I should have.

They changed it back in '95 I believe. I had a few months of ability when I came to LSU then. It was a weird situation b/c it went from 18 to 21 back to 18 then back to 21 again IIRC

I guess it never affected me bc I turned 21 in April and it went into affect in August.

I remember thinking that it must suck for those who were 18, 19, 20.

They also got a raw deal with driving. I was at DMV on my 15th bday.

you may be a little off on that. 18-20 YOs may serve, but it appears they aren't in charge of airlplanes WITH the ability to kill people.

quote:

The average Air Force Pilot is 46 years old. 67% of Air Force Pilots are 40+ years old or older, 26% are between the ages of 30-40 years, and 6% are between 20-30 years

I would assume its the same way in all branches given the training necessary to become an aviator.

Doesn't matter what the legal drinking age is. 18-20YOS are going to drink. No one is gonna change that anytime soon.

Holy frick you are stupid

Do you think the judge lied about the video?

Those on the jury will see it in court, other than that & those involved with the investigation no one needs to see that
