you could draw a reasonable conclusion that the U.S. is about 20 or so years from electing white nationalists into office
and the Poli Board would support that

JFC. Weren't you the genius earlier in the thread that was making this a race issue? You people have lost your minds. Any white person that loves the country is a "White Nationalist" according to you groomer idiots.

Actually an odd detail they added about asking 5 times. Was this in order to capture it on video? If so, it speaks to their knowledge of her being incapacitated and needing to cover themselves.

Equally interesting is that one of the perps lawyers gave the video to the cops thinking it would make his client look innocent? Wtf??

I tend to agree. But in the context of a civil dram shop case the bar will have an uphill battle arguing she was barely illegal.

I’m sure that they’ll reach some sort of out of court settlement. However, given that she was a 19 (closer to 20) ADULT (at least for just about all purposes other than drinking or smoking) and not some 15 or 16 year old high school girl, when it comes to civil dram shop laws (AND NOT CRIMINAL RAPE LAWS), surely she will need to be assigned a certain percent of comparative negligence due to her own actions.

Totally disagree, unless he elaborates on why he stopped the car at a random location, maybe somewhere along Jennifer Jean, he needs to spend time in jail with the others.

The new law went into effect in August 1995. I was one of the people that were old enough to drink one day, but too young the next day. There were some appeals and drawn out legal fights over the law. At one point, the Louisiana Supreme Court threw it out and the law had to be re-written and passed. I think that was in 1996 but I could be slightly off. It's been 21 since then. But if you were born 75-77, there is a good chance your ability to buy booze changed multiple times.

And, of course, by "white nationalist," you mean someone who doesn’t subscribe to the insane, demented, deranged, and RACIST policies of the far left whackjob heroes of yours. You know, like CRT, affirmative action, unlimited immigration and amnesty, reparations, etc.

CO 93 with a birthday in December. Graduated HS at 17. I was legal for 1.5 years then at midnight was forced to leave the bar at midnight when authorities came in and was not legal for another year and a half.

False. I am c/o 91 and we were able to drink from 18 to 21.

The bar should really be looking at criminal charges in this case as well if 1/2 the stories are true

The age was changed because congress would withhold federal highway funding for any states that didn’t comply

I without a doubt expect the backlash from this to far exceed the results from the death of Ben Wynne

The notion of “if she wasn’t drunk it wouldn’t have happened” to place blame on the bar is pretty stupid. The bar is at fault for over serving but obviously if there wasn’t alcohol involved this wouldn’t have happened. If alcohol was outlawed entirely 43% of raped likely wouldn’t have happened. This doesn’t make you want to outlaw alcohol for all ages does it? Let’s start placing the blame on the rapists.

Why imply or act like it's either or? Have you seen anyone, anywhere not "blame" the suspects?

But unfortunately they’re probably just gonna give it to Fred’s guy and he can just knock the wall down between the two bars

Does either Reggie's owner or Fred's owner actually own the building?

I've never been to this bar but there were known bars like this in Austin during my undergraduate years at Texas.

There are bars like this in every major city. Hell, when I was in high school and the drinking age was 18, we had a few in New Orleans we could go to as long as you had any sort of decent fake I.D. From that period, there was Shanahan’s on Claiborne, Melius' in the Quarter, and a couple of Uptown bars near Tulane (The Boot, ATII's). When I was a senior in high school, that’s where we went to party. We got invitations from some of the LSU fraternities our senior year where the parties were held at these bars.

The blame is 100% on the rapists but that doesn't let the bar off the hook for being a public nuisance.

They changed it back in '95 I believe. I had a few months of ability when I came to LSU then. It was a weird situation b/c it went from 18 to 21 back to 18 then back to 21 again IIRC

Same in Lafayette. The mid-late 90's were the heyday of the Mckinley Street strip. There were like 6+ bars down there at the time where you could drink without issues. The Keg was probably the most known one. Once many people turned 21, they went to downtown bars instead.
