Yeh shadys wasn’t nearly as bad as Reggie’s. Mikes was somewhat close
But it’s just amazing how much worse both Reggie’s and mikes was than any other SEC bar I ever went to

You're kind of obsessing over me discussing a relative important part of a story of how the driver actually hit and killed her in the middle of the road. Important enough that the investigation into the accident was ongoing, cause you know stuff like that absolutely matters.

I wouldn't say ATC is complicit, they're just a tax collection agency.
Everybody knows what happens in Tigerland, every night of the week. It hasn't changed since I was in school, hasn't changed since the drinking age got bumped to 21, and frankly the only difference prior to that is likely that they were serving 18 year olds legally.
If the bars disappear because they cracked down on underage drinking, ATC would lose revenue.
So they stick with a couple raids a year, and hit easy targets like stores and kids in the parking lot with an open container.
Other side of this is that if the current bars go out of business, new ones come in. Better or worse is hard to tell, but they're gambling on the known risk of trashy bars over the unknown risk of anything else.
