Yes it is.
You must have better sources than the news (not surprising) and the DSPD..

The FACT is they are waiting on a second brain scan to confirm. That FACT is that scan had not taken place as of your previous post. Until such time as the scan is complete, he is not. GFY!
I don't care to fight with you over this, but you are wrong.

Also, if the cop was going through a red light, he is still responsible to make sure its safe to cross,
Where did you hear he was running through a red light? The article I read said she pulled out in front of him, making it seem like he had right of way?

How fast was he going if he was ejected 80-100 feet?
I know when fire and ems are out of their jurisdiction (to turn around and respond in their area) they can't respond code(lights and sirens and can disregard speed limits, as safety permits) when out of their area. I would assume the same is true with law enforcement.
Either way, sorry to hear he died.

LE does this all the time.
Both fire departments also run code outside the city to get to calls. I am sure that BR and DP are the same way
Gulfport and Biloxi have to do this all the time to get to wrecks on I10. Very sad for the officer.
80-100 feet isn't really a long way. He could have been going 30mph and got thrown that far easily

I live in Denham, work in BR and Hammond. I see them radaring both directions on both sides of Range several times a week. Sorry, you're wrong.

East Riverdale at O'Neal Lane
I don't see any lights at the intersection. Looks like just a very tragic accident. Prayers for the officer and the families involved.
