Looks like I’m heading to Natchitoches for this shite show. Way I see it I’ll be on west side if it stays on current path and if Natchitoches somehow ends up in the cone than Nola is more than likely safe

RT3 I’ll make a pit stop to say hello on my way through

Is this saying it will hit LA as a Cat 3?

There are 24 hours between forecast locations, so they have it falling from 125 mph to 80 mph over Baton Rouge. It’s difficult to tell exactly what they think will happen at landfall between those points, but I’d prepare for low end 3 or high end 2 as of now.

Basically Andrew, like I said earlier.

It’s a fact that cold waters of the Mississipp scare these storms away. At least that’s what grampapy told me!

I remember evacuating to New Roads to a camp on False River thinking that was a good idea for Gustav

Boy was I wrong

Man this sucks. I feel horrible for everyone on the coast right now

Nobody has a clue what’s going to happen this far out and that bothers me.

Prayers for all people along the gulf. This year has been so shitty for the whole country, but for the gulf folks the last couple months have been even more stressed filled. Praying this storm weakens severely and does the minimal mount of damage possible.

Yeah no doubt. I’m not belittling it. Gustav is why I laugh at people who talk about how they stayed through a storm and it was nothing. The vast majority of people who actually stayed through hurricane force winds will never do it again.
