So is Perry/Abbeville in the eyewall?? Wind is blowing like mad. Not scary really but it’s just blowing trees like crazy.

Hurricane Hunter aircraft data, and surface observations indicate
that Delta has made landfall near Creole, Louisiana, and almost
drowned a dumbass stormchaser, around 600 PM
CDT (2300 UTC) with estimated maximum sustained winds of 100 mph
(155 km/h). Delta is a category 2 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson
Hurricane Wind Scale. The minimum central pressure estimated from
Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft data is 970 mb (28.64
inches).

They pulled up to it earlier on in the feed so they knew it was there. They didn't try to drive up on the ramp though. It was for sure their last safety net because they believed they could head west towards Cameron away from the eye and the surge.
