He was literally minutes from not making it. I was kind of hoping he'd get caught just to teach people like that a lesson. He would have had to ride it out in an oak tree for while.

I just drink a beer and laugh at that.

I was waiting for his jeep to stall, then he would have to climb a tree and pray.

Slack, what’s your guesstimate on when the worst weather would reach the Prairieville area?

We’re seeing a slight drizzle and maybe 30-35 mph gusts right now.

Eh, probably in the next couple hours you'll see the closest approach of any of Delta's strongest winds. After that it will just be squalls that may line up in different areas.

When is the bad stuff hitting us? The wind sounds worse than it actually is at the moment.

He really was a minute or maybe two from being completely screwed. It's almost like he had no idea what storm surge is or does.

I think it was more a case of he doesn't understand how the storm surge works out there in the Cameron Parish marshes.

No way they are getting out of there before sundown and he was talking about getting out of there before sundown on the phone. They screwed up.

That stormchasingvideo guy was scarily close to effing himself over. Talk about waiting until the last second.

Storm chasing in SWLA is dangerous as frick.

Vast majority of roads down there run parallel to the coast. Not many options to gain elevation quickly.

He is a fricking idiot. He is saying the storm surge came up quick....yea you stupid shite, thats what happens!!!

And he doesn't understand the topography down there.

I was hoping he had to ride out the next few hours in a tree.

And why would you not have a big arse jacked up truck with a snorkel?
