It’ll be fine — we had a discussion and I asked questions I’d never asked. No worries in the bins — now second crop in the fields may not stand a chance.

Definition of landfall is when half of the eye is over land.

Western parts of Lafayette are probably going to get punched in the mouth pretty good in a few hours.

More squall lines as it works east?

Slack- I haven’t been following as closely today due to nonstop conference calls. Is this shifting closer to MC at the last minute?

Looks like we lost the anemometer at that station. Damn.

Wonder if a waterspout or quick spin-up tornado hit it or some other debris took it out?? It has double anemometers I believe from this pic

Water up to 7.3 feet

ETA: Maybe the solar panels are underwater??

In an absolute sense, yes, but nothing to worry about here.

I actually ran out this morning and dropped a few crab traps in Flat Lake. Hoping the 3-4 feet of surge expected here bring out the legendary Flat Lake sweetwater crabs...

Not going to lie, I'll be a little sour if this bitch makes landfall at Intracoastal City - basically the exact predicted spot when denham and I made our ban bet.
