Lili was weird. That one knocked out nearly 100% of electricity for over a week in Eunice but didn’t really do heavy damage to any structures. For the first half my neighbors and I were skim boarding across yards with the flash flooding.

I think it was one of the first decent storms we had gotten since Andrew and it blew a lot of trees down. I was living in Broussard for Lili and like I said it scared the shite out of me. I watched it bend and break a ten inch tree around a metal post in my front yard. Thought the roof would blow off. Lot of those little (but damaging) spin up tornadoes with that one. There were a lot where I was.

Freshwater canal now with a 6.5 foot surge and still climbing at low tide.

Looks like it's headed right for Intracoastal City and then Lafayette Parish. Quickly too. Wind is picking up in Laffy.

Come on man. That's clearly what used to be the eye wall. It's falling apart

Looks like Comite River is at 24.74 feet right now and is expected to crest at 26 feet. So luckily shouldn’t be any issues there

Ehh, it's part of the NE eyewall.

Western parts of Lafayette are probably going to get punched in the mouth pretty good in a few hours.
