TWC will not be satisfied until a couch from a debris pile goes flying up

What other elements are usually associated with hurricanes?
They're relatively rare, but you can get a sharknado.

so... I guess we're finished with Hurricane Hunter missions
figure they'd be in the storm until landfall... guess not

Not going to lie, I'll be a little sour if this bitch makes landfall at Intracoastal City - basically the exact predicted spot when denham and I made our ban bet.
That's one hell of a trough coming from Texas if it pushes it that far

This storm looks like it's starting to struggle.

Will the next NHC track come out at 4 as usual? Do they upgrade them more often once it's making land, or continue at 4-10?

Lol NO!
I’m in a different room than others watching tv and the storm shutters are closed — I really want to open them to see what’s going on.
The trees here are whipping and I’m wondering if my landscaping will still be upright.

That is one of the single best things to ever come out of TWC.

I know our LC folks might take offense to this, but this storm's landfall and trajectory is basically the best case scenario with respect to populations for an LA landfall.
LC is on the western side. Lafayette is far enough away to likely avoid the worst of it. There are very, very few people that live in extreme eastern Cameron Parish.

Even the troughs are bigger in Texas.

If we were still in September, I would guess he's making an R&B reference.
