Small consolation but I’ll say it again — I’ve got family in MB and friends in LC. I’d gladly take this one to spare you all again.

For Lili my brother had to work at Memorial in LC so he sent his wife and newborn to Ville Platte to our parents. It was WAY worse there than in LC. He was calling us with phone updates as we had no elec/tv.

Nice. Thanks.

That red band in the NE eyewall is going to wreck stuff.

Keep us posted on that — did they stay??

Confession — I assumed from your user name that you were a retired mailman, born in 1961. Lol at me!

A bunch of refugees in BR, tough to hear their stories. Hopefully wind dies and doesn’t sling debris around too bad.

I’m digging the lack of tornado warnings so far! We had a ton for Laura

They’re not. Maybe they were before meth and heroin took over rural America, but it’s horrible now.

This guy's driving on roads with rain and/or surge flooding on either side - somewhere in Cameron presumably, though he's on higher ground now.

This is a weird storm. Looks like it's opening up with a piece of eyewall moving almost ENE.

Looks like the roads between Little and Grand Chenier.

ETA that's the road to Rutherford beach.

Because he’s actually hiding Boudin and crackin grease on his face, so his colleagues aren’t pissed.

Must be pulling the water from east side of river. Sister lake gauge is holding steady, looks like it’s trying to climb.
