My understanding is that the turning of Delta to the NE depends on an approaching cold front. If Delta slows down and allows the cold front to approach it sooner, then the turn to the NE will occur sooner.

It was supposed to slow down now then begins to go north and speeds up

This. The slow down was forecast. When it makes the turn north, it may be moving faster than it ever has.

The governor said that 1/3 of storms leave the cone. I've know that for while but for a person in a leadership role in the government to come out and admit it should make some people finally open their eyes.

The cone is meaningless.

But did it really? Landfall looks the same, except for one outlier on the east. It just looks like the grouping got tighter. North, it does go more east, but not sure thats what everyone is concerned about currently.

Same landfall, but more NW once it moves onto land.

Slowing down

the slow down has long been expected as the storm starts to make the turn around the ridge over Florida

now the trough over Texas needs to come in and give it the kick in the arse to get on shore and out of town with the quickness

lol...I mean, don't you have better things to do than constantly bash an organization that tries to be as accurate as they can with vital information?

You have such a hard-on for the NHC it's laughable.

I’d like to make a suggestion for this thread and all hurricane threads moving forward. We need more Stephanie abrams in between advisories.

JBE thinks the cone is Baskin Robbins, he has to get a cup there or he spills his ice cream.
