Can we get a rating on your husband’s plowing skills, 1 to 10?

I wouldnt evac from the river parishes unless the winds are extreme. It doesn't flood close to the river.

While I understand your thinking, this is a terrible opinion from a practical standpoint. They’ll both be quite shitty.

There are probably less than 50 people on this entire site that have experienced sustained hurricane winds. Of those, I’d be surprised if more than 10 would say they’d do it again.

We’ve been over this. Moved here for a lucrative opportunity and it has paid off nicely.

It’s not a bad little town but the death of the oil industry just saddles they area with a gloominess that’s tough to overcome.

Im there every weekend practically(Belle RIver/Stephensville to be precise). Love the area. Had no clue you lived there

Anyway, look like we should be ok for now

there is a high over Florida Georgia line. And the cold front is approaching from Texas. Just depends when that front moves in to pull it north

Stayed in my home near Daphne for sally surrounded by giant pines. If delta comes to me, I’m out of here. Won’t chance it again

So less than 50 posters have experienced hurricane force winds but two posters have family members that died in grain accidents? unreal!

I’m going to be in Shreveport Friday at 6 pm. Will be able to leave at 7 pm.
Need to get back to my family in Baton Rouge.
Think that’s possible?

I know a black guy that died that way who worked for my former employer.

He fell through and trapped in the grain. Was alive for 45 minutes they had an air tube down to him but couldn’t pull him out. All the owner had to do was rip off the side of the bin with a backhoe to get him out but refused to do it because he didn’t want to ruin the grain bin. Then guy died cause he couldn’t breathe due to pressure on his chest, and they had to tear down the bin anyways to get the body out
