No. Got family in Iberia, Lafayette, and Acadia, so I’m probably going to be a close evac point for those not going to Houston.

In 24 hours it went from making landfall at 1 am Saturday to making landfall 1 pm Friday. This thing is humming.

Is this the model that predicted the weakening of Delta prior to landfall at Cancun?

If this path holds or if it shifts slightly back East again is it likely we see new wind records in BR?

I think its a real possibility, a jog of 20 or 30 miles makes a difference...

Based on what?
It wont be a dud, but it was not a Cat 4 last night at 10pm when they left it as such. It was a Cat 2.

I think the weatherman are being told to hype this shite to the gods by their producers. Isn't the cold water in the gulf gonna knock this thing down?

Can we get more info on how the cold water will effect this thing?

They updated it before the season to supposedly improve performance in the tropics by making the pressure to wind relationship more realistic.

Euro 2019 models were more accurate than NHC. Do they run last years software for comparison?

It will slightly but not enough to rapidly weaken it significantly. Dry air and shear are more threatening to it.

Fish as the wife of a grain farmer I get it. Ours is in the bins and insured. Wish it had been shipped out already.

Definitely good news for rain-induced flooding.

We’ve been over this. Moved here for a lucrative opportunity and it has paid off nicely.

It’s not a bad little town but the death of the oil industry just saddles they area with a gloominess that’s tough to overcome.

Do y'all have any books or online resources I can use to learn about hurricanes? I'd love to have a setup like Duke one day
