I figured it out. Use the Tweet2Gif App. Now, to see if it actually works.

Don't forget when he pulls out his "Stick" for the hurricane coverage......

and when he also talks calls from the local people asking if they should leave or not.

But that's actually good coverage that a local channel should be doing.

I thought so as well. Or maybe that was just intensity... because I was staying up until the Thursday it hit bc of the strengthening

I don't remember it shifting west very much. There were never any models that had Laura going east of Vermillion Bay. It bounced around from Creole to just west of Holly Beach. The official track from the NHC didn't move all that much.

The RI of #Hurricane #Delta has been stunning to watch this morning. However, worth zooming out & witnessing one of the more unusual vortex interactions playing out today.

While PTC #Gamma is much weaker, its similar in size to #Delta. Their combined circulation is large! LINK

HWRF showing a 937mb doomcane 12 hours off coast then goes up 30mb while going into Vermillion Bay?

This seems off???

The problem here isn’t so much wind speed at landfall but that close to shore it will still have a Cat4-5 surge, similar to Katrina with it being a 3 at landfall but had a 5 level surge.

If you live on or near the La coast I would evacuate at this point even if you aren’t directly in the path of the eye. Surge may be catastrophic with this storm.

@NWS
We’re getting some questions about this as #Delta continues to strengthen:

If Delta needed to be “retired” from the list of hurricane names, it would be retired as "Delta 2020" and “Delta” would continue to be used if the Greek alphabet were needed again.

I nominate they do this for all storms... they're already running out of regular names

Don't mention that. You'll get downvoted and made to sit in the corner.

I agree it is good coverage. Living in Houma all my life and watching him has been funny at times though. Especially when he has all the "goverenment officals" on.... Houma Mafia at its finest....

They had the track four days out, it was the intensity like you said. Jumped from a two to a four that Wednesday morning.

I was at walmart last year and the cops had someone pulled over with tv cameras. They were with HTV, so I figured the Beat was coming back.

Never happened.

For those who have never seen the beat, here: LINK
