That’s right. I had promised the wife I’d leave if it got to a 4.

What does a direct vermillion bay hit do to New Orleans?

What does a direct Atchafalaya/Morgan City hit do to New Orleans?

It fricks up Abbeville, Morgan City and Thibodaux, to the extent no one should be concerned about the rain in New Orleans.

They had the track four days out, it was the intensity like you said. Jumped from a two to a four that Wednesday morning.

Global Models have struggled with intensity all season long, for various reasons. HMON and HWRF both had Laura strengthening into landfall at least a couple days out, probably more.

Delta is a very rare candidate for a serious run at what's known as the "Maximum Potential Intensity" for a tropical cyclone in the Atlantic:
-160kt winds
-880mb pressure

I'm debating if I should just go north more inland on Northshore. Anywhere north of here that has some really solid infrastructure where even if it hit doubtful the hotels and such would lose power?

Wish it would come back due the the Houma news paper no longer list the ppl who have been arrested and for what. The paper online no longer does booked on the bayou either! I remember every Monday My boss would look through there seeing if any co workers were arrested.

Another model shifts west. CMC has it going almost exactly where Laura made landfall.

Well that would suck as the power grid is still being rebuilt. Should be getting power at my place this week. At least I don’t have anything left for it to tear down except more trees.

Correct. No one should be worried about BR or NOLA at this point except loosing electricity for a few days.

I’m sure this is a stupid question, but I’m going to ask anyway.

How much impact will tropical storm gamma have on pulling this storm more west?

Ditch the courier and get the times, you won't regret it.

I’ve literally not paid attention to this at all until now.
When did it become a TD?

I think it was one for like an hour or two
