I am seeing different predictions for the pipe busting weather... The Highs and Lows don't match the hourly forecast... Weather.com hourly is saying that the PB weather will be early Wednesday... Accuweather, so far is hourly forecasting PB temps to early Tuesday... What is it OT meteorologists?

KPLC has been the last to jump on the snowmageddon forecast.

And Wade still reluctant just say “it’s going to snow.”

His writing tone drives me crazy.

Oh okay. Didn’t want you to be near BR and ruin my hopes of a snow day. I just want to watch my two dogs run around in the snow and be happy

It is going to be cold, and hourly forecasts are varying degrees of garbage.

Why would you ever use The Weather Channel as a source?

Will also help insulate heat loss through the roof.

It’s probably a stupid question, but how many inches of snow/ice can a roof handle in the south?

You can buy a propane adapter for $25. I have 2 5 gallon bottles full with 2 of the Mr Buddy 9K BTU. Have 2 1500 watt ceramic electric heaters running off my 8K watt gen.

I have the adapter but I don’t want the risk of a huge propane bottle in the house. So I haven’t used it for this.

In Houston. 40/28 Monday , 33/19 Tuesday, 37/27 Wednesday..

Debating if its worth draining the irrigation system. If the highs are above freezing during the day and the pipes are below ground, is it worth it? The Water intake itself (above ground) is all bundled up and insulated. It was such a pain getting everything working again last year when I did it.

We have a match tomorrow and USTA rules state that the match can’t be rescheduled unless actual temps on weather.com are 34° or below.
So you’re saying we can tell it’s cold just by looking at your upper torso?

I like the way you think. Challenge accepted!

I have a flat roof, so I’m concerned. La building code is load of 20 pounds a sq ft, but typical construction might be up to 40 pounds. Would be good for architect to chime in. depending on how wet the snow is, weight can vary a lot, 5 pounds to 30 pounds a sq ft.

So 6” would be 15 pounds at the heaviest and in a safe range

United and Southwest have posted waivers if anyone is supposed to travel on Monday or Tuesday along the Gulf Coast. Head to the travel board if you need help figuring out options
