Me too and I can use the OT official measuring stick for accurate results. I will liable to “bottom out” with only 3-4 inches.

Euro, Icon, GFS, and Canadian are all locking in between 5 and 8 inches. Only a woman would complain about the difference

What does this run imply for the NOLA metro area?

Last thing I read about NOLA is between 2 and 4 with some sleet. Anybody that’s been in LA knows that a good snow is always proceeded by sleet. It sleets for about 30 minutes and cools the air then the snow follows.

Folks, a good read on the 2004 Christmas Eve snow event across southeast TX (some places received upwards of a foot of snow)...

Where the 2 jet streams phase over TX and into LA will determine who gets the highest values of wintry precipitation. Based off the 18Z model run, this appears to take place along the I-10 corridor - thus why the highest values are currently in play there.

FYI...The southern branch of the jet stream (one coming from the Pacific Ocean and crossing northern Mexico into TX) is nicknamed the "Pineapple Express" given its origin/development.

Baton Rouge got totally shut out on this one. I was really bummed. Still am.

I was at my grandmas house in Corpus Christi and we got a lot of snow. I remember making snowmen and throwing a snowball at a passing truck.

This was my first memory of snow flakes . It stuck on cars and roof tops.

1993 was crazy. Snow in march and sleet in October in the very same year.

Really? I had no idea. So Houston and New Orleans got snow and BR didn't?

That's crazy.

And Saban left for Miami. It was a disappointing Christmas.

Exactly! I was jealous of New Orleans because they’re not supposed to get it haha
When is Baton Rouge too far north to get snow?!

Squall line associated with "The Storm of the Century" extended well south of Cuba...lots of tornadoes moved across central Florida, including The Villages community....
