More than likely they just don’t want to have to make an announcement on a federal holiday when students would be at home anyway.

Ours said they made the call early so that books whatever else could be sent home today, and Tuesday will be 'distance learning'.

Good luck with that if snows on the ground.

According to the Weather Channel, Metairie is now up to 90% snow and accumulation of 3-5 inches!!
