I know the models are in pretty good agreement, but it still seems wild to already be cancelling school and it isn’t supposed to snow til Tuesday

Monday is a holiday. I’m sure they want to make everyone aware now. Plus models are all in agreement for very cold with winter weather starting Monday night.

It's wild, and it could wait until Monday to let the chips fall first, but these louts already have MLK day off. So they just extending their holiday.

Per Rob

quote:

I look for snow to start after midnight Monday night and become moderate with some icy accumulations developing toward daybreak Tuesday...especially for bridges and overpasses. Additional snowfall will accumulate during the day Tuesday and later Tuesday afternoon or very early evening.

and yet if they waited till the night before, people would bitch about not having enough notice to plan accordingly.

Been waiting to see when James Spann was going to update the weather blog. Guess he was going to make sure all the models were in agreement.

I just noticed your location is "Aft cargo hold of Serenity". That's very cool. Firefly one of my favorite shows ever.

Yea the ICON is not buying into the craziness. But if 18z GFS and Euro and even Canadian keep it going then ICON has to be considered an outlier.

Hopefully its not starting a trend.
