I think it’s a safe bet now that most of South Louisiana up through CENLA will see 2-6” of snow on Tuesday with some place possibly seeing even more.

No.
Never a "safe bet".
I live in central Alabama, and I would never consider snow a "safe bet", even if it's predicted to start snowing within the hour.

I have a gut feeling the heaviest totals shift northward giving CenLA and North the higher totals

Any idea on the timing of this thing? Is this a start at 4 am snow or more like 9/10 am? Trying to rearrange my travel plans.

TWC for Lafayette has pivoted from "1-3 inches of snow and ice" to "3-5 inches of snow"
I bring it up because they've always seemed to be the slowest to update forecasts for extreme conditions

As currently modeled from around 3am to 3pm on Tuesday, depending on how far east you are.

Yeah I think 10 inches of snow in South Louisiana would be wild. I’m not going to work. I am taking a snow day and enjoying it with my kids

Canadian is good for laughs, but several nights in a row of near zero lows in SELA...yikes!

Driving from Covington to Baton Rouge then up to Arkansas starting at 9 am. How screwed am I?

I have lived in New Orleans for nearly two decades but am a chameleon yankee having grown up in Connecticut
…. I don’t think yall really realize …
SIX inches of snow??? SIX?
I know it flurried in like 2010 and maybe a year after that.
But ACTUAL snow accumulation of several inches?
That’s fricking insane it’s going to be a shite show here.

Very likely. Hoping to get ahead of it if possible.

0z Canadian says screw it...it's Miller time...(as in Miller A for any of you weather nerds out there). He says he's going to keep upping the ante until the rest of the models fold
This time everyone along and north of a Galveston to Destin to Savannah to Myrtle Beach line gets between 6 and 18 inches whether you like it or not. lol:
0z run of the Canadian model snowfall totals
