Dave jealous because Shane Gillis getting all the attention from his whore joke and not him.
He had Gillis open for him in Austin and talked about it in Houston.
Now that I think about it I think the talk about the Gillis backlash was mixed in with the Kirk comment.

By him saying he feels better after Charlie Kirk was murdered, he may have meant that compared to Charlie, his own incident does not seem near as bad now.
I still don't get it. He acknowledges that it is scary being a public speaker. But then says he feels better after Charlie Kirk got shot. Doesn't make sense unless he just didn't like him politically because what it represents is a clear reminder that it is indeed scary being a public speaker and he is out there all the time all alone and exposed up there on stage. It would make more sense if he was more paranoid since Charlie Kirk got shot.
It makes no sense and I have always like Chappelle, but this seems like it is just political in his mind.

I still have no idea who Charlie Kirk is but I love how bringing up his name still riles people up.
Yeah, i also think it's funny when someone gets murder for speaking.

I’m wondering what kind of human gets off on “loving” anything about the murder of another person
A lot of people do!

Dave is still funny, but he couldn't handle adversity when it hit close to home.
Meh, not really, he hasn’t been funny for a while. Plus it was obvious he was a weak minded pussy when he had a “mental breakdown” and ran away from the pressure of fame in such dramatic fashion.

Its not hard to be a decent human being. Dave you are better than that. Don't be a POS.

Don't know why Democrats telling anyone who will listen how happy murdering Republicans makes them is still surprised. Been going on for over a year now and the murderers just got handed the keys to the govt as a reward. Be careful what you say in public or theyll be dancing on your grave next.

What kind of inbred retard equates making fun of people with making fun of someone being murdered? Someone who had zero power over anyone else at all. Crawl back under your rock scumbag.

We've entered the part of the discussion where left wing weirdos pretend not to know about or understand basic universal things in order to avoid discussing them.

Disappointing….
I in return hope when his time comes… I hope he fears his fate.

I don’t particularly care for him either.
caveat: I'm going only by his TV show

Regardless of how you feel about what he said about Charlie, this statement is ludicrous.

He’s just admitting what most leftists are too chicken-shite to say out loud, that being the fact they’d gladly watch you die if you’re not a leftist.
In case you’ve ever wondered how the German people watched without objection as their government went on a campaign of genocide, he’s an example of how that happened. Namely when the political party in power uses propaganda to indoctrinate the population into seeing their political opponents as not worthy of living.

Never point out down votes. It will make people go back and down vote and down vote you.

Imagine a white comedian saying this after Dave Chappelle getting assassinated. They would be cancelled and vilified 24/7 by the national media.
Tony Hinchcliffe did this with George Floyd (the left’s version of a martyr) and was canceled and vilified by the national media.
There’s no point in getting all bent out of shape about it. If not part of a larger set-up to a joke in his act, Chappelle is just looking for attention by mentioning Kirk’s name and now he’s getting that attention.

Only a snowflake gets triggered by a stand up show.

It's clear Chappelle just genuinely hates white people. It's not racially charged humor anymore, he's just a deeply hate filled man who uses his past comedy career as a vehicle for him to vent his racial hatred.
