A man murdered in cold blood makes you laugh? Your parents are ashamed of the human you have become

Maybe Chappelle is in the mea culpa stage of his career now.

You can’t laugh when he’s making fun of people you hate (gays, trannies, blacks, muslims) and then be offended when he makes fun of someone or something that is important to you. That’s soft.

Still not even the full joke. Chappelle will have a 20 minute setup for the payoff. Might still be a shite joke. Might still be his philosophy bullshite.

It's just a rage baiting clip at this amount.

Imagine a white comedian saying this after Dave Chappelle getting assassinated.
They would be cancelled and vilified 24/7 by the national media.

But it's ok to say this about a white/heterosexual/conservative man getting assassinated.
The hypocrisy is disgusting

The double standard is interesting to me

They attacked Tony Hinchcliffe this year for making a George Floyd at a roast just earlier this year

"They" here are the same people.

"They" are people who only get offended when "they" are having jokes made about them.

That's cool

I haven't watched any of his Netflix specials since the first one because he's just not that funny anymore

He jumped the shark after Chappelle's show ended

I didn't even know who Charlie Kirk was outside of seeing him mentioned on the Ptb.
But what's with some conspiracy pushed by some people who were close to him that he was killed by a bomb in his microphone?
Couldn't that be easily disproven?

Awesome. So glad MLK was gunned down too. What a ghoulish POS thing to say by Chappelle.

No one close to him has said that except for Candace Owens and they weren't close anymore when he died. She is grifting stupid people. The same people who fell for the Q shite

Dave was upset that some people compared CK to MLK

quote:

The joke regarding Martin Luther King Jr. arises when Chappelle addresses the media fallout and right-wing martyrdom that followed Kirk's death. He expresses deep irritation with pundits who immediately tried to elevate Kirk's legacy by comparing him to legendary historical figures

Rejecting the comparison, Chappelle uses the gruesome nature of their respective assassinations as a punchline:

"You know, they both got murdered in a terrible fashion. They both got shot in the neck. But that's about where those similarities ended."

He follows up by calling Kirk a "motherf***ing internet personality" and contrasts Kirk's style with Dr. King's, joking about what it would look like if MLK had spent his life telling people to "smash that like button and subscribe."

Right. I don't think it's funny and you could certainly argue it's in bad taste. It could also be an honest reflection on how he doesn't feel good about having those feelings which he even acknowledged.

But at the end of the day it's standup. People are going to say things for shock value. Sometimes it's funny. Sometimes it isn't.

Nothing to get worked up about.

Dave Chappelle

I remember when he had his little crybaby bullshite thing at his house or somewhere after St George of Meth overdosed and died.

Dave is still funny, but he couldn't handle adversity when it hit close to home.
