A leftist tried to attack Dave on stage in 2022. Charlie Kirk defended his free speech and condemned the violence.

I saw Chappelle a few years ago and he was tremendously unfunny.

WTF? He didn't make fun of Ck's style, looks, mannerisms, ideology, etc. He said he was glad he was killed. That's not even close to making fun of someone's mental illness.

One of the few parts of the show that wasn’t funny. Also didn’t really fit and felt forced.

Being an old bitter millionaire who tries to walk a line between philosopher and comedian doesn't resonate with a lot of people
Dave literally moved his family to a small white town in BFE to get away from the ghettos and blue city politics he supports
Yellow Springs, Ohio

This is my only issue with Dave and the Kirk "joke." He is entitled to his opinion and I think it is in poor taste to joke about a guy being murdered for speaking what was on his mind (the exact thing Chapelle is doing), but whatever. Free speech
. But he was a gigantic pussy about George Floyd and anyone who would dare speak their mind about him or that situation.
So frick him. It goes both ways and you can't cry about it when it goes against your ideas.

Dave Chappelle has earned the benefit of the doubt to be heard out.

That is exactly what Dave did with George Floyd.
He had an entire "comedy" show on Netflix from his property in Ohio where he got on stage and bitched about racism in America and cried over George Floyd.

How has he "earned" it exactly?

I was thinking about the two liberal female podcasters laughing at the murder of Charlie Kirk (they say it was the joke about it but, yeah right...). There have been a number of high profile people make light of and laugh about Charlie Kirk being murdered and now Dave Chappelle is in that group who mocked his assasination. His comment, "Ever since that guy Charlie Kirk got murdered, I feel better."
This just seems impossible to me to delight in the murder of anyone, especially one whose whole mission in life was to debate his ideas peacefully. There are plenty of people on the left I'm friends with. They are good people, they just believe differently than I do and that's OK.
Then it dawned on me what the difference is. I imagine those on the left are good people who believe differently than I do. For the potion of the left who are OK with political violence, they imagine the people on the right are inherently bad people because they don't hold the beliefs of the left.
If they were "good" people, they would believe like those on the left. Because they hold different beliefs, they are bad people and worthy of violence.
I can think of no other reasonable explanation for why this would be the case.
If you are one of the folks who are happy about his death, please share your feelings why you feel this way.

He also said at a stand up in Saudi Arabia last year that he felt more free over there than he did here. I remember bill maher giving him shite for it.
He’s seemed to have turned into a crazy arse leftist Muslim. The left thinks violence is justifiable for those who disagree with them.

This clip could probably explains why he makes everyone lock up their phones at this shows.
How does he do this? Do they have lockers or something?

By speaking about unpopular topics that upset both sides of the political aisle.
Nobody can ever call him a political hack.

Love his humor but f him. What the hell has happened to him?
Posted on 11/8/26 at 10:14 am to stout
Dave fell tf off. For awhile there I thought he really played both sides, but now he's completely lost it.

Something like that. A lot of comedians today do this.
Basically turn in your phone and check it in. They give you a receipt. Like a coat check type setup.
I think it keeps the show fresh too. Doesnt leak the whole set so people get know the jokes before they are coming.

Where’s the evidence of that?

I don't know what it is from watching so much of his comedy, but I suspect Chappelle might actually be irl racist against white people.
