“Perfect” is another one that annoys me. To a person ?? seems like every 20 something patient that comes into the office uses this when told something about the appointment.

I said it over and over, the easiest way to stop stuff like this is make it uncool. Whenever this crap starts whether it be literally, like, bruh, 6 7, I start using it all the time. When they see uncool middle age dad doing it, in their brains it automatically becomes uncool and they will gradually stop it and move on to something else.

My son says “low key” a lot and sounds like an idiot. Your daughter probably makes fun of you for saying bonkers too lol

I don’t think I’ve ever said bonkers in my life. She does get mad if I say fig or retard. Even in the proper way not making fun of gay people or the mentally challenged.

Yes. Let her grow up and mature as kids naturally do.

My teenage daughter uses the word "like" multiple times in every sentence and it's driving me bonkers.

How old is she? Does she have time to take a speech class? How are her grades? Because if you can get her in a speech class and she does that. It'll destroy her 6.0 or 5.5 or whatever GPA.

What’s worse than like is people who say

I “feel like” when what they really meant is “I think.”

I blame our estrogen fueled education system makes everyone think their feelings are important

I made the mistake of watching Meghan McCain's YT channel. Her opinions on things are okay. But boy does she overuse like in every sentence. I commented that she should work on that. I doubt she has.

Man my 9 year old blonde drives me nuts with how long it takes her to tell a story or explain something. Shes a straight A student, beautiful little cheer leader but man...

One time she had me tied up in telling me about something in her day and i guess i was visably tired of waiting for it to be over because my 8 year old son who heard it already walked by and said "its almost over" lol.

Women... ig age doesnt matter, theyll always grind your gears lol

“Like”
“Ya know”
“Bro”
“Yessirrrrrrrr”

Girls saying “Bro” to each other is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

“Like” and “ya know” have been around for a long time as transitions for people that can’t public speak.

“yes sirr”. Is an epidemic. Very annoying

My grandmother corrected my speaking when I would go visit her on the weekends as a kid.

My son picks up the section 8 lingo from watching videos and some of the kids he plays with. No-uhhh. No son. It's NO!! Not No-uhhh. Not yeahh-uhhh. It's either yeah or yes. I correct thst sheet in my household. I'm not going to have my son out in public speaking like an uneducated retard.

Make it a game. Tell her that she has 5$ in her pocket if she can go the whole day without saying LIKE in a sentence (your wife will have to help or another of her siblings) Every time she says it she loses a dollar. After 5 times she’s out of money. Obviously you’re not doing it forever, but enough to make her think about it when she says it and give her an incentive not to. Obviously she’ll eventually grow out of it, but just to make something positive out of it would be a fun way to approach it.
