I don't disbelieve you, but do you have a source for that?

There's one guy for every girl, but girls don't want the guys they can afford and they don't have enough "assets" to buy the guy they want, so they lease "the man" versus investing in a "boring guy" who is at their level. The shortage of the coveted guys they all want means that they'll start "overpaying" (FWB/anal/threesome) for the guy hoping that they secure him, but they all end up having nothing to show for it later, and then get more and more depressed as their "ability to earn" diminishes?

the problem with this assumption is the "there's one guy for every girl". in colleges, it's almost 1.5 girls per guy

that deficiency means women have to compete a lot harder with men, and once men understand this value, they will use it for sex with many women

it's like the reverse of china. the one child policy has led to a huge deficit in women. women are so valuable they are being kidnapped and most average males have accepted they'll never have a girlfriend or wife. women literally get to hold out for applicants

This is a strange position. Basically the guy is saying that women aren't living within their means.

A 23 year old I was dating agreed to be FWB and let me date other girls. She eventually realized that I wasn't going to magically pick her to be exclusive with around the time I told her I was also dating an 18 year old and that she was into really kinky stuff that the 23 year old wasn't into. She started hinting that she'd be willing to do anal for the right guy after she learned I was also into really kinky stuff, although it was evident that she was really not that into it, and I had no interest in becoming serious anyway.

She eventually said she wasn't okay with me continuing to see other people so now we're just friends. She's saying she's never going to marry and will just adopt Asian babies when she turns 30.

So yeah, the phenomenon is real.

Do I really need some link or data to prove to you that the best looking men are not on dating sites?

Come on

Of course women have a biological clock, and there will be a portion of them that will make that a higher priority when searching for a mate. But to take that fact, and make a blanket statement that women, as a gender, decrease in value?

Ridiculous.

You're completely discounting all of the women who have already had babies and want no more. Or, have passed the age of childbearing, and are looking for a mate, not a father to their kid. Do you know how many women there are like that? The entire female gender does not place having children as the only, or even primary factor, when trying to find love.

I don't think you understand how this works. This is obviously talking on a macro level, not individual people. Sure a woman can become more attractive/desirable, but on average, you'd be stupid to think an average 23 year old is less desirable than an average 33 year old woman... Men would be vice versa.

You're single situation doesn't change the obvious slope of desirability in men and women over time.

dont be delusional.

men are genetically programmed to desire young, chaste, fit women.

we have a visceral attraction to that type. in other words, its not something we can control, no matter what society says we should prefer or how you attempt to shame men for being "immature"

the 40 yr sagging, career women is just not as attractive as the 18 year old perky, waitress.

Trust me, I'm not the one being delusional.

You believing that you speak for every man is completely delusional. Of course, there are genetically programmed issues, in both men and women. Let's all agree on that and get that out of the way.

But to take that fact, and extrapolate that all women decrease in value as they age? Delusional.

The truth of the matter is, the genetic programming in both genders has much more powerful influences when both parties are younger. The problem with people like you is that you don't understand as you age, and mature, your value system adjusts. You no longer act strictly off of desires. You live, and begin to understand that things you didn't value when young, you value much more highly. And vice versa.

I'll never convince you of this. You'll always feel like women decrease in value. I get that. But I'm trying to offer a different perspective, from a man that has lived where you are, and evolved to where I, and I think most men my age, have found ourselves.

I don't know any single dude (and probably half in relationships) that doesn't use tinder. The amount of potential 'swipes' you can get in a day in a metro area is astounding.

I'm older than you and now married, but I was in NYC as a single guy too, and things haven't changed much.

when women have the competing drama of "career v. kids" (say 33-37) it ramps up a TON, esp if they're not married

Also look in terms of physical beauty and industries that heavily rely on that.

Modeling for example...it may sound mean that women in their 30s are considered "past their prime" in that industry....but it's just the reality of that industry.

Granted now, women are aging better now than they used to with the help of plastic surgery and better skin products that help preserve a more youthful look. But they will still never age as men do. More older men can look more "distinguished" as they naturally age.

I just can't imagine myself dating a woman that age unless I was late 40s or 50.

The best dating/statistical fact is that 5% of the guys get 95% of the pussy.

Once you realize that and start to work towards becoming one of the 5%, you're on your way and nothing else matters. the 5% get away with murder... it's the 95% crowd that gets fricked
