quote:
In the video, Runnels pulls Bryce over and approaches the car. He tells Bryce to get out but doesn’t give a reason. Bryce repeatedly asks if he is under arrest. Runnels says, “You’re under arrest. Get your arse out of the car,” and attempts to pull him out by force. He then tases Bryce for 23 seconds, handcuffs him, drags the boy’s body behind the car, and deliberately drops him face first onto the asphalt road. Runnels may not have known it at the time, but Bryce was going into cardiac arrest. When the loud thud of the drop boomed throughout the courtroom, gasps echoed out. One woman looked down and covered her eyes with her hand. A man said, “Oh, my god.” A police officer with the Kansas City Police Department quickly brought his fist to his mouth, turned to the man next to him, and whispered, “Jesus.” Even those sitting behind the defendant — a few friends, his wife, his family — gasped, as if the recording revealed a truth about Runnels they had never considered.

Cop was a shitbag for dropping him face first. Kid was an arrogant dickweed that wanted trouble. Easily avoidable if both people did their parts

He tazed him for like 15-20 seconds

The cop is a total jerk and deserves to go to jail but WHY WHY WHY do people continue to be a-holes to the police and bait them into this stuff?
The parents should not receive any financial compensation for raising this disrespectful adult.
Refuses to roll down window.
Refuses to get out multiple times.
Cop is still a bigger jerk (TIMES infinity) than the driver but I am teaching my kids to OBEY the cop and ask questions later.

I hope you get curb stomped by a pig like that because you don't look at him right, or speak to him without the utmost respect.
There was nothing right about what the cop did. fricking juice monkey, unpopular as a kid, small dick having POS cop.
Protect and serve, my arse.

I skimmed the story, but it's pretty long. Did I'd say how long his sentence is? I didn't see it.

He doesn't have to get out. He doesn't have to roll his window all the way down to communicate with the pig. He needed to be told why he is being detained. That cop works for him, not the other way around.

1. what did the driver do? Why was he under arrest and asked to get out?
2. the driver should have listened and not been a smart arse
3. The cop tazed him, "which everyone ask cops to do instead of shoot them"
4. The cop moved him out of the road, he dropped him from like 2 foot, not a big deal.

Kid should have obeyed the officer and sucked his dick to show respect. GET BEHIND THE BADGE!

According to the story, the kid was stopped for outstanding warrant. The cop tazes him in the chest for 23 seconds. The kid goes into cardiac arrest. The cop dropped him on his face while he was handcuffed and busted up his chin.

He was told that he was under arrest,it's time to get out of the car at that time, and go through legal channels. His parents are actually to blame. They should have taught him the basic rules of survival.
I bet when he pitched a fit in the grocery store,His Mom always bought him the cereal he wanted, instead of spanking him,and he grew up thinking that the world works that way.
His stupid little tantrum ruined a bunch of lives, his, his parents, the cops, the cops family.
The cop over-reacted and went too far, people do that all the time, including myself. His parents should have taught him that.

Result of militarization of the police and a cop that was just a a straight dummy.

hold up... the kid was stopped for no reason at all, wanted to know why he was being stopped and if he was under arrest; the cop felt entitled to arrest and abuse him with no provocation besides the kid asking if he was being arrested -- and the kid is the arrogant dickweed??

A professional law enforcement officer is off the hook for tasing someone for almost half a minute in the chest because the kid's parents didn't do a good job of raising him?

They said something about when he gets out, so not long enough.

he'd been stopped and illegally searched before. they taught him he has constitutional rights and one of those rights is against government search and seizure. he was trying to apply what his parents taught him when the cop attacked.

so, so dumb. place the blame where it belongs. solely on the cop, nobody else.
