I'm so serious, the dasani water bottles are even worse than the cheapest generic water bottles you can find at grocery stores. It's remarkable.

Dasani is the worst bottled water there is. It's literally tap water and not even good tap water.

Baton Rouge has some of the best in the country. They are sitting on a top notch aquifer.

I'm shocked someone hasn't built a plant to start bottling it. It's the single thing I miss of Baton Rouge.

Gas stations charging over $2 for a single 20oz Dasani bottle

Yeah, but those are still the "good" bottles. Worth it?

Agree. I told the wife (pics coming later) to not buy them anymore and switch brands. I will not stand for this shite.

Cheapen a product and call it “green solution” just so you can make more profits. No sir.

Looking out for the environment they said

Thinking about this...if they are that concerned about the environment, how about just not making any plastic bottles?

I had a former VN POW as a co-pilot years ago, flight attendant comes up to ask if we wanted anything to drink, FE asked for a water, she said we're out of bottled water, all we have is airplane water, FE goes "ewwww," co-pilot didn't even look back, he just said "it won't kill you"

I figured the engineers were all gone by the time bottled water started.

I can't think of a favorite bottled water. But it's definitely not Dasani.

Kentwood started the same shite about 4 to 6 months ago. I've got sit the bottle on a table to open it without spilling water all over the place. Have to be careful to hold the bottle from the bottom for the first few sips, too. It's bullshite! If this is what needs to be done to "save the environment", frick the environment. Give me a water bottle that doesn't spill.

This is true. From the Pearl River to BR along the I-12 corridor is some of the best water in the world.

True, but it's frustrating when someone "fixes" a problem that doesn't exist and actually makes matters worse. I suspect this is a cost cutting move camouflaged as environmentalism, but who knows.
What I do know is the "new and improved" Kentwood 1/2 liter plastic bottles suck donkey dicks.
The frickers at Powerade and Gatorade are now using 28oz bottles instead of 32oz/1 liter bottles. That's pure cost cutting. Did they think we wouldn't notice?

You mean like Abita Springs Water and Kentwood Water?

It's all part of the Southern Hills Aquifer system.
