I have to say the new bottles aren't as loud and crackly. Whatever plastic they're using is better in that dept.

Coke will probably save an extra $500K in plastic cost per year but the biggest improvement will be their ESG score.

Will that stop Dasani from tasting like plastic?

I suspect this is a cost cutting move camouflaged as environmentalism
Literally every “eco-friendly” thing out there

I lol at the virtue signaling hotels who won’t do laundry “for the environment” yeah okay, sure!

Ha
Wife used to freeze them
No problemo
Now when you freeze the new bottles, it blows the tops off
Fewer threads and cheaper tops
No more for us

Looking out for the environment they said. Oh, and the cost didn’t decrease.

Spoiler alert: wasn’t about the environment or cost savings, they outsourced the bottling to a different manufacturer, it had historically been done by the bottlers, that’s why the bottles are now different.

we still had DC-10s and 727s into the late 90s

Miss those planes. I think the 727 had a max speed of 599 mph. Yes, I nerded out as a kid looking up stats on jets. Also, as a child, that DC-10 Luxury Liner American Airlines was a memorable first class ride out to California from DFW back in the day.

I used to make that thing beg for mercy when I was a commuter, I'd get it up to about .86-.88 and keep it on the barber pole until about 12-15 miles from the end of the runway on the last leg home

I stayed at this hip hotel in Miami not too long ago and their little sign about housekeeping was so laughably bad. One side said “I don’t care about the environment at all. Please change my sheets. :(“ The other side said “I care about the environment and future of our planet. No housekeeping for me! :)”

I wanted to leave a note that said “how convenient you also save $$ in the process of letting customers virtue signal”

If they're so worried about the environment, why doesn't it come in those recyclable paper-like containers that coconut water comes in?

I miss the domestic route, wide-bodied jets. (L-1011, DC-10s, 767s, etc.). Those are gone, but I do like the A220 and the power that the 757 delivers on takeoff. The 757 has more noticeable thrust than the Airbus planes in a similar size.

I really don't want them coming in to change my sheets if when I arrive they are pube free, but that sign is so tempting. And, they are partially correct. I don't give a shite about global warmi...climate change.

Dasani was the only brand that didn't have flimsy bottles.

At least Ozarka and Nestle don't have bitter taste.

At DW a couple years ago they offered a $50 gift card in exchange for no daily room service. Gave the gift card to my daughter to buy those crappy DW toys.

I called every day and they sent up towels anyway.
