The question isn’t if he had it, it whether that made him attack.
Because most probably have some cirrhosis let’s be real here.

Is this one of those studies where they had a robot smoke a joint and a cigarette the same way with the same amount of puffs and time span and then claimed that as proof?
No. It’s right there in the link on my first reply of this thread…
quote:
To compare the pulmonary hazards of smoking marijuana and tobacco, we quantified the relative burden to the lung of insoluble particulates (tar) and carbon monoxide from the smoke of similar quantities of marijuana and tobacco. The 15 subjects, all men, had smoked both marijuana and tobacco habitually for at least five years. We measured each subject's blood carboxyhemoglobin level before and after smoking and the amount of tar inhaled and deposited in the respiratory tract from the smoke of single filter-tipped tobacco cigarettes (900 to 1200 mg) and marijuana cigarettes (741 to 985 mg) containing 0.004 percent or 1.24 percent delta 9-tetrahydrocanabinol. As compared with smoking tobacco, smoking marijuana was associated with a nearly fivefold greater increment in the blood carboxyhemoglobin level, an approximately threefold increase in the amount of tar inhaled, and retention in the respiratory tract of one third more inhaled tar (P less than 0.001). Significant differences were also noted in the dynamics of smoking marijuana and tobacco, among them an approximately two-thirds larger puff volume, a one-third greater depth of inhalation, and a fourfold longer breath-holding time with marijuana than with tobacco (P less than 0.01). Smoking dynamics and the delivery of tar during marijuana smoking were only slightly influenced by the percentage of tetrahydrocanabinol. We conclude that smoking marijuana, regardless of tetrahydrocannabinol content, results in a substantially greater respiratory burden of carbon monoxide and tar than smoking a similar quantity of tobacco.
It really is funny how super sensitive pot users are over anything critical of pot. The only thing I can compare it to is the reaction of Alabama fans when anyone is critical of the Crimson Tide or Nick Sabin. And just like Bama fans, they’re completely oblivious to how they overreact.

Finally someone else gets it. It's being touted like a cure all just like snake oil, alcohol, and radium were in their respective eras.

There are plenty of legitimate criticisms of cannabis use. Asking for more info on the study is not super sensitive.
"It's worse than cigarettes." Is not a legitimate criticism. People smoke a pack a day of cigarettes. They will smoke 3-5 without thinking about it while at a bar one evening. No one is smoking 20 joints a day by themselves or 5 joints in a bar in the evenings.
And I guessed correctly about that study before reading the methods. Comparing the effects of 1 cigarette to 1 similarly sized joint and then extrapolating from that that for the average user cannabis smoking is more harmful than tobacco smoking in real world habit scenarios is disingenuous at best.
All that said, smoking anything is bad for you, but you can mitigate the dangers of cannabis smoke by using a flower vaporizer, water pipe, etc. You can also eat it or drink it or use it topically

Young men with a serious cannabis addiction are at increased risk of developing schizophrenia, a new study suggests. Experts estimate that nearly one third of cases of schizophrenia in 21 to 30-year-olds were triggered by cannabis use disorder. Cannabis use disorder is thought to impact around 1 in 200 people, and relates to problematic cannabis use where people cannot control their intake and suffer withdrawal symptoms if they stop taking the drug. A new study led by Danish researchers analysed the health records of nearly seven million people over 50 years and found a strong link between schizophrenia and serious cannabis addiction. As many as 30 per cent of cases of schizophrenia among men aged 21 to 30, and 15 per cent of cases in 16 to 49-year-olds, could have been prevented by preventing cannabis addiction, they estimate.
NOT a valid reason for cannabis to be outlawed.
Edit: and I do not partake.

You’re wanting to keep it criminalized for no valid reason. That’s the issue. Not that it isn’t the perfect catch all solution to everything. What decriminalization does though is:
- Frees up space in our prison system.
- Allows folks to utilize it for practical, medical uses where it does carry benefits.
- Allows adults to make the choice of whether they want to partake. No one is forcing you to do so.
- It can also be consumed in several other ways than smoking it (which means your study isn’t a blanket excuse to keep it criminalized) such as edibles, tinctures, butter, etc.

Where are you getting this from? Look back a few post and you’ll see I’ve said I don’t care if they legalize it.

This is the problem with people blindly regurgitating studies.
1/3 of schizophrenia cases “triggered” by cannabis does not mean that 1/3 of weed smokers will become schizophrenic.
Likely that those individuals with schizophrenia, that hadn’t had been diagnosed yet, had their condition revealed sooner with cannabis

Get the frick out of here.
Lets look at all the problems that come with cigarettes and alcohol.
There is no way to justify tobacco products and alcohol being legal and marijuana not.
It being illegal doesn't really stop people from doing, what keeps most people from doing it is the possibility of being drug tested at work. I don't do it every day.. I go weeks, sometimes months without doing it, but no matter what it is, there will be some problem caused by it.
You want it to stay illegal for what? You think people should go to jail for doing it? Or should have to pay some type of fine for doing it?

In terms of health effects, THC is no worse than alcohol. It should be legal, but I definitely don't buy into the stupid arse worship cult that treats weed like it's a completely harmless drug, because it isn't. There's decades of evidence that document negative effects on the areas of the brain that control memory and cognitive function.

Might have something to do with how these crazies are running around doing all kinds of shite. This stuff is not your 60’s pot. Everywhere I go I smell weed. My sons dorm smells like weed all the time. Even the business dorm smelled like weed.

I’ll agree with you on this. Potheads aren’t as bad as vegans or CrossFiters but they can be pretty annoying at times. I guess that comes with the territory if the government outlaws something you enjoy and makes up a lot of nonsense propaganda to justify it.
