I’m not laying an opinion on any of this, but his dad is/was loaded, felt very strongly against some SEC rulings on his leveraged buyout games (which on the surface appear to be murky, but maybe not nefarious) The gov has yet to collect a dime because his dad is quite clever in setting up offshore structures. If all above is indeed true, than it makes perfect sense as to why he would not want assets in the USA easy to he seized by gov to payoff SEC rulings.

I created my own reality show channel on YouTube. I bought subscribers and donate just enough to my own Patreon. Since I vlog everything on there I write those things off as expenses. Shoot a video on vacation and it is now a business expense.

The house, models, parties and even Dan himself is marketing for the Ignite brand. Everything in the house has logo's all over it. It's literally a commercial every time he posts. You hate on the guy all you want but I don't think this goes anywhere. He literally on a super huge yacht in Croatia right now with a bunch of models filming commercials. Also not buying he moved out of that house either as there are pretty recent pics of him there plus he just dropped millions to renovate the property and put in a trampoline and foam pit and just got that finished.

Not well versed in tax law, but yes if do not deduct/record as a legit business expense and claim as personal income.

Why wouldn’t he just have the company buy a house as opposed to continually pay massive amounts of rent?
