I can't believe she hasn't plead out yet, does she actually think she will be found not guilty here? She killed a guy in his own apt.
I too have walked into the wrong apt before, but as said you realize it quickly and certainly before you pull the trigger.
The key IMO is why she shot first and looked around 2nd. I believe she had lived there a year or so already right? I could see if she just moved in and had never done this before, but if you lived there a year you likely got off on the wrong floor a time or 3 already.

Has she been offered a plea deal?

I have zero confidence in our legal system, so I'll be surprised if she actually gets time for this.

Yep, and not like police forces were filled with Harvard grads already. America is so screwed.

Thanks for explaining that. I wasn't sure how the charges worked. I was thinking the prosecutor was going for too high of a crime and she was going to get off because the statues weren't met for that high of a crime.
I feel bad for this chick. She made a genuine mistake. It wasn't "cold blooded murder" like some paint it out to be. It was a bad mistake, and someone is dead none the less, but there is 0% chance she makes that mistake again.

She's a stupid bitch that had a badge and gun. She killed once already. The stupid bitch would probably do it again

I guess it’s cute that you still have an immense amount of respect to lose.

Kill a cop expect a no bond, as a cop kill a civilian for literally no reason, have yourself a reasonable bond. Complete pile of horse shite.
Your lack of understanding of the bond process and the purpose of bond versus pretrial detention is very common.
Everyone is entitled to reasonable bond, but the court must consider the likelihood of non-appearance for court hearings and the likelihood of danger to any person or the community.
It makes sense that a cop who is involved in a bad shoot would get bail. The likelihood of nonappearance or further danger during the pretrial phase is low, especially if a bond is set and made and certain conditions are put in place, like not possessing firearms.
A cop killer on the other hand usually poses a much greater risk of both nonappearance and danger to the community.

If she walks or gets any preferential treatment there will be riots.

I got a higher bond for a victimless crime that carried a max of 5 years, cultivating marijuana. Sorry I'd hold a violent offender, who was sworn to uphold the law, to an equal standard as myself. They aren't equal crimes and our public threat levels weren't similar either. I guess living in an area for the vast majority of my 28 years (at the time) left me a huge flight risk... or this is just bullshite like I originally opined.

Can we at least get some sexy pictures of her? I'd hire her as a stripper after her inevitable 6 months in jail.

Oh, it's definitely bullshite.
Much like the hottie that got a $187 fine for DUI while all the speeding and other violations were dropped.

Or you are just a huge Ahole that hates authority like your post sounds like, and you pissed off the judge so they punished you?

I’ve lived in mega apartment complexes before (they suck) and it is actually very easy to walk into the wrong apartment. Every floor and door looks the same, so I do believe her story, particularly if she was tired from a long shift.
The wrong fricking floor though? Come on.... If it were a wrong but identical building...maybe.

I have empathy for her too, but what do you think her punishment should be?
Without really immersing myself in the facts
I don’t want to put a number on it, but some jail time has to be involved right?

You have never got off on the wrong floor before? Ever?
