Well that's just wildly inaccurate.

Lived in both Houston and Dallas. I would pick Dallas 10/10 times.

Yes, Dallas Metroplex has its easy criticisms from number of people, not very scenic, cookie cutter grid, weather, etc. However, there are plenty of things to do in Dallas. You just need to look.

Glad to see nothing has changed since I lived there from 1999-2001.
Although there's plenty to do, I frickin HATED living there.(Plano for 1 year and Mid-town Dallas by SMU the second).

Dallas is pretty bad. Lived there from 2015-2018 and go back a lot for work. It really does suck.

Your assessment is spot on.

I moved to Dallas from New Orleans after Katrina & didn’t like it my first year here as it was such a culture shock.I love it now. Take some time & explore. Yes, there are douchebags here but they are everywhere. There is so much going on here that it is ridiculous. You will adjust over time.

OP is trolling or is talking out of his arse.

You just said you moved here yet you seem to have an area bigger than the state of Connecticut figured out in weeks.

I’m in Collin County and have everything I’ll ever need I don’t even need to go south. Great schools, traffic isn’t bad and no income tax. Great golf, enlist list of stuff to do and 6 pro teams to choose from if I wanna see a game.

The school facilities and theater department that my kids use are top notch.

You could do much worse. I travel tons for work and are their prettier places and colder, sure. But to raise a family for a middle aged busy guy I love it.

I also live 20 minutes from taking a direct flight to anywhere in the world. I guess the people and businesses that have made it the fastest growing metro for both have it all wrong.

I think of two things when I think of Dallas.

JR Ewing and the Cowboys...

I know nothing else about the city.. sounds like there's not much else to know...

What is the best city to live in in Texas? Austin is hippy, but seems like a fun place to live. Also, is San Antonio good?

I would love to live in New Braunfels but I have a long-time friend there who I visit often. So I'm very familiar with the area.
