For multiple reasons, the case can be made that the Hughes brothers crave the attention. Doesn't mean they don't support a cause, but part of their MO seems to be getting attention, so I may be parcing semantics, but I don't think they're "exactly" the person you want on your side.

I'd prefer someone who I thought their intentions were more pure, if you will.

Nothing now. It is just merely a conversation topic on a message board. The man made it home safe, but as of last night he was receiving death threats and his safety was definitely in question.

at the end of this they should write a book on how he handled himself. Im simply putting myself in his shoes, had i done everything by the book like he did, I would want to at least make it widely known that I was in fact innocent.


The more news that comes out about the shooters, the more people will realize its not him. But im still reading FB replies from people thinking he is still involved. Slowly but surely he'll be cleared but a simple note from the PD would put all of it to bed

Once that picture was put up, this was going to happen. Hell, his name is publicly cleared 1000x ways now and I guarantee you he is still getting death threats because people think he is the shooter. There was no sure fire way to "clear his name" that can satisfy what you want

The guy who brought an assault rifle to a protest? What would ever make you think that.

I'm trying to put myself in his shoes...

Why should I bring a rifle to a protest?

What are my plans to do with said rifle? Just to look cool?

Will I get any attention from it? What kind of attention will I receive?

Fact of the matter is this guy is a moron for even bringing the gun to a hostile scene I.e. protest last night. I don't care if he had an open carry permit or not.
