The North Hollywood shooters used barbiturates which allowed them to stay calm and focused even after taking multiple hits. Could be a similar scenario..

IIRC a handful of officers ran into the doors before the guy ends up shooting the officer, but I really don't care to go back and rewatch it to verify.

Well if it is ISIS, it is a well thought out idea, when you just have a few on the inside, why try to take them all out if you can make them take out each other.

Yep some officers ran in because they thought the shooter was in the building but he was behind the pillar.

That's what I saw too. I was confused at first and wasn't really sure what I was watching. With the anchors talking about undercover officers, I assumed the shooter was an undercover officer covering the cops entering into the building.

The only thing you can hope for after watching the video execution of the police officer is that he died instantly and didn't know what happened.

he popped out of no where, laid down some cover fire and moved in to kill the cop.
