I just read about dutasteride. Supposed to restrict more DHT than Propecia, but I don’t know if that also means higher possibility of having the negative side effects that defeat the purpose of treating hair loss.

Also read the below

Does it really matter to women if you have a full head of hair?

I met Mrs. Tantal just a few months after I started shaving it and was still a little self-conscious. On the first date I made a little self-deprecating joke about it. She said "Whatever. My dad's been shaving his head since he was 30. That's just how men are supposed to look." OTOH, there are also women willing to overlook thin hair for a thick wallet.

Well, child support won’t equate to a thick wallet for me.

Honestly, the ONLY reason I care is because I’m single and self-conscious about it.

started losing mine at 29 and buzz cut it for ~10 years. I swore I'd never wear a horseshoe look, so when the front and back spots met, I started shaving it. 30+ years later I've never regretted it

Propecia worked for me. No dick deficits. The place where my hair was thin (monk spot) grew back and you can’t tell that it had ever thinned.

The only problem is that I have a more intense battle with ear hair.

Nope. Found a local doc that does it. It was a ton cheaper than hair implants.
Just do some research and you’ll see there are many trials that have been done and have been very successful. So far so good with me. I don’t expect the hair I had in high school, but it’s been good to me so far.

I’ve taken finasteride every day for 5 years. It’s been an excellent drug. I was thinning a little in my early 30s. Combine w generic rogaine from Costco and go from there.
