What I love about leftists is that they are ALL ABOUT victim blaming - as long as the victim is a particular type. Otherwise, with the "wrong victim type", they begin wagging their finger at anyone who dares blame the victim.
Roadside memorial stolen for white girl.
"Parent's fault for leaving it there."
"How dare you shitlords expect a minority to comply with a lawful order!"

The family prob didn’t set the memorial up. An empathetic caring BR citizen did I’m sure.

Saturday, family and friends created a memorial on Government Street between I-110 and Park Boulevard, leaving pictures, cards, flowers, crosses and some of the late LSU student's favorite snacks.

There isn't a neighborhood in the country where a $100+ wrought iron cross left hanging on a telephone pole isn't at extreme risk of getting stolen. On that street you may as well have tacked a $100 bill to the pole.
This is exactly the point being made. There isn't a common culture or set of binding values anymore. It will likely end in bloodshed.

quote:There is enough of a low level of morals and poor people across all groups such that leaving expensive stuff at a memorial will likely result in it getting stolen. It just wouldn't make news in 19/20 cases. Heck, I've seen fairly wealthy people with the low morals to take something like that if they wanted it.

quote:You wish for that of course. I see the problem here as the senseless murder of an innocent girl. I see a problem where guns are too readily available to every idiot kid gangbanger.
It will likely end in bloodshed.

That is a really nice cross to leave at a roadside memorial.
China doesn’t allow for crosses to be displayed.

Why would you want a memorial where the worst part of their life took place?
Public awareness.

How would you propose addressing this?

frick that, there is no in between. How could a memorial to an innocent 21 year old girl gunned down in cold blood not be a good idea
If one of my loved ones got murdered, I just personally wouldn't want the spot marked. Pay your respect at the home or at the funeral home. That's just me and I'm not right or wrong, and others like you feel different. If the family put it out there, or they support it, then I would 100% support it.

Public awareness.
Public awareness is an agenda and you can do that on your own time. We all know damn well that this young lady was murdered. Everyone knows damn well that violence happens in BR. So the public is definitely aware already. If the family is fine with the memorial, great support it 100%, but if they feel different, then your public awareness agenda can be considered offensive.

No, because no one thinks a cross for a homicide victim is something that would get stolen.
Not sure I would put money on that. I knew someone who committed suicide in his car in New Orleans. Thief comes around and sees him, rolls his body out of the car, and then stole the car.
Posted on 9/18/22 at 7:06 pm to mmcgrath
So sorry, you’re right I’m wrong. 99.9% sure the family/friends don’t give a shite about the cross right now. Prob much greater worries on their mind. Good research though .

Who ever stole it needs their fricking hands sawed off.

The problem is people like you who would rather blame inanimate objects than face the reality of your political views.
