show him in the employee handbook where it said they couldn't do that. Believe it or not, there was NOTHING in the handbook that said that made topping off the secretary's tank at work a fireable offense.
Wow, the George Costanza defense actually worked.
If the dumbass hadn't committed payroll fraud he'd be in the clear.

A buddy of mine actually who was married (unhappily) was having an affair with a girl at work. Another co-worker walked into his office without knocking on the door and caught him getting a blowjob at his desk. Both got fired.

Not at my location, but 4 guys ran a train on a girl in the cooler. Surprise, surprise, this business was located on Siegen lane.

While I was active duty a married buck sergeant and a young female airman started having an affair. He was a real piece of work, just one of those guys that needs a good arse kicking and she was a sweet kid. Anyway he's going to end the affair but decides to have her co-sign on a loan so he could get a new car; his credit sucked arse. He gets the car and then dumps her......3 days later she shows up at his apartment and shoots him 5 times point blank in front of his wife, killing him....she went out to the parking lot, got in her car and killed herself with the last bullet.
Damn, that's crazy

Some guy brought his personal laptop to work and set up a Webcam in his office. The next day, his boss caught him stroking it while on one of those Webcam sex services.

Why was his boss watching dudes stroke it on one of those webcam sex services?

A shipyard laborer stole paint from the supply shed and buried it so he could come back later to retrieve. His mistake was that he painted his house with it. His house was on the road that I drove on to get to work everyday, the paint was a primer that we used to paint barges, as soon as I saw it the jig was up.
Fired and arrested.
"That's an interesting shade. What's it called?"
"Chouest Orange."

Summer job after high school, working for this Plumbing and HVAC Supply place in my hometown. They hired several guys to work in the summer. I graduated with one of them, more on him later, and between all of us, only 3 knew how to drive a stick shift. All the delivery trucks were manual, so we would be the ones to make those. A couple of other guys were getting jealous that we would get there in the morning, load up the back of a pickup, and be gone for several hours. It was mainly these plumbers that would order a few toilets and sinks for new construction and have us deliver it instead of them picking it up. So we'd load all the boxes for maybe 2-3 stops in the truck and off we'd go.
So this one guy tells our manager that he has learned how, telling some long story about his Uncle or Grandpa or someone had been teaching him at night and on weekends. So they let him drive this old Dodge Dakota around the yard a few times, and a loop around the block with our boss riding shotgun. They said he could now be one of the drivers since he didn't stall it out and shifted through the gears fine. I guess his relative never taught him about reverse. He was making a trip across town on one of the major highways, and somehow went from 5th gear into reverse, when he was slowing down for a red light ahead. Tore the transmission up, messed up the engine, and messed up some other parts of the drivetrain. Boss had to go get him, unload it all into his empty truck, make the delivery, and then drive him back to our warehouse. Then fired him in front of everyone.
The other guy I went to school with got popped with either alcohol or weed in his car, and had his license suspended. He still drove this old car to work every day, and still was making deliveries. We found out because he got stopped one day for rolling through a stop sign. The name of the company and phone number was on the door of the truck, so the police called our office and told the secretary that this employee was making deliveries while driving with a suspended license. They sent me and another guy to go get the truck, and they fired him over the phone.

In the early 90's the accounting manager at my paper was convicted of embezzling over $80K from cash payments people sent in for classified ads. That was all they could verify during their investigation, but they think it was closer to $200K. She was a 50-something year old grandmother.
That's not the craziest thing that happened there. They had the capability to record any phone in our office. They failed to make some people they hired aware of it. A guy in management collected copies of what other managers were recording, and turned them over to the Dallas PD and the DA's office. They prosecuted the company, and the individual managers for recording people without them knowing about it. They worked out a plea bargain, dropping charges for the individuals, with the company pleading guilty and paying a fine.
The day the cops served them, officers came in all four doors to the outside, They came in with bolt cutters. This was in the 80's, so half the office thought they were there to bust someone for drugs. They went around and gathered up all of the managers and put them in a meeting room with a DPD officer posted outside the door. They went around the office, interviewing everyone. They had alerted the media, so a couple of TV stationed were armed with cameras, and filmed anyone coming or going into the building. They were filming when the officers and the DA went into the GM's office. It was a one story building with windows three fourths of the way around. Only the warehouse was enclosed.
When it was over we found out some managers were recording each others' conversations, and one guy was recording the GM's calls. Her mother owned the company. The manager that helped the cops came in the next day, left at lunch saying he was sick, and never came back. The manager who recorded the GM was fired. He had also been sleeping with the GM's secretary to try to gain some kind of knowledge. Both of those guys were Vietnam vets who may have done some Capt. Willard stuff. The one who worked with the cops had been a PI. The other one had been a Ft. Worth cop.

Oh, that reminds me of another incident. Same hotel I referenced on page 1. The catering/banquet manager was a woman with loose morals and a penchant for the college kids that worked in her department. I think she was around 40. One night after a wedding reception had dispersed, she was caught in one of the storage closets giving 2 of the banquet servers a blow job. None of them were fired though. This place was pretty chill and everyone just laughed it off. Things were simpler in the early and mid 90's. There were all kinds of sexual liaisons going on there.

Secretary who worked the front desk was fired from my first job out of college for habitually not showing up to work. I came in one morning and the 60 something office manager was at the front desk and told me there were some interesting emails on the secretary's computer. One of which was a picture of a guy in a teddy on his knees with his dick in the exhaust pipe of a Range Rover that I had sent to everyone but our boss and office manager. The office manager told her 17 year old granddaughter who worked as a runner that I was a pervert and to stay away from me. I was not fired and worked there until I started law school

This is not a caught doing story, but was the craziest thing I've seen in 40 something years of working...
Years ago I worked at a steel service center. One day while I was on the phone with a customer, one of the secretary's sisters comes in the office screaming at her sister "you've got one hell of a nerve fricking my husband" and picked up a stapler from a desk and started beating her sister on the head with it.
A full on girls brawl ensued, and our manager, who was a scrawny Barney Fife looking character, stepped in and tried to break it up. They threw him to the ground like a rag doll and went back at it for a good two minutes.
As soon as the fight started, I hung up on the customer without even a goodby or anything, just to take it all in.
Cops were called, and they were led out. Not sure if either got arrested, but the secretary got fired.
It was glorious ! I would have gladly paid money to see what I saw.

One time one of the estimators I used to work with was having trouble with his pc. He called IT and was working with them when he suddenly realized that the IT tech had taken control of his pc. Dude had a buttload of downloaded porn on his machine. All of a sudden this guy jumps up out of his chair, runs around his desk and literally starts ripping all the wires out of the back of his computer.

the guy was fired because he submitted a receipt for massage in his expense report. The expense reports were handled by the team in that region, and knew exactly what this place was, lol.
Damn. Why wouldn't the person processing the expense claim just deny reimbursement?
I've worked with that process a bit, and people are going to submit ineligible items. It's not always even intentional.

When i worked at Chrysler in the early 90's, there were many, many dealios that people did that were fricked up.
But one of the dumbest, was when a rural redneck brought in a bullet, put it in a vise grip, and hit the g-spot with a hammer, till bullet fired, and hit some one down the line in the arm. Union saved his arse from being fired, but threatened person shot not to file any lawsuits against man, company, union. Swindled him.
When i heard the shite that happened at Chrysler, i would just shake my head, i sort of expected anything and everything. It was like a village and full of idiots.
